Hi,

I have a patched 10.4.1 running in VMware. I installed osx86-update.pkg over the 10.4.1 osx86 install DVD. Can someone explain how I tell whether I now have the 8F1099 or 8F111 build?

If I have the earlier one, what is my best upgrade path to get to the latest working osx86 in VMWare?

Many thanks,

lukemack.

You used a no real update, if you want to update to 10.4.3 you need the installation DVD of 10.4.3 but if your processor does not support SSE3 I would not recommend to update because there are issues (crashes) with ppc apps yet.

Finder - Applications - Utilities - Information System - Software

Or

Click Apple symbol on finderbar-->About this Mac -->More info (-->software)

In my case:

System Software Overview:

System Version: Mac OS X 10.4.1 (8B1025)

Kernel Version: Darwin 8.1.0

And yes, I need to update, but I want to wait until the most recent version of x86 Tiger

is as stable on my rig as 10.4.1... :D
