thecodecowboy
Hi, I have a patched 10.4.1 running in VMware. I installed osx86-update.pkg over the 10.4.1 osx86 install DVD. Can someone explain how I tell whether I now have the 8F1099 or 8F111 build? If I have the earlier one, what is my best upgrade path to get to the latest working osx86 in VMWare? Many thanks, lukemack. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5602-how-can-i-tell-if-i-have-8f1099-or-8f111/ Share on other sites

macgirl
You used a no real update, if you want to update to 10.4.3 you need the installation DVD of 10.4.3 but if your processor does not support SSE3 I would not recommend to update because there are issues (crashes) with ppc apps yet. silverline
dennis: you must mean 10.4.1 instead of 10.4.3 because 8B1025 is the build number for 10.4.1. if you know that is your version u have a bad install (/upgrade?).
