dark4181
probably, though that takes away a lot of hardware choices, a la Apple
NeSuKuN
Why can't you just make your own disk with the sil drivers appended? I'm sure there is a guide to add drivers to an existing image somewhere in this formum.
tmazzoni
Well, help me get this straight. I have an Asus Striker Extreme with the 680i. Am I wasting my time in trying to install OS X? I'm just facing a few problems regarding the recognition of my video card and I'm not interested in SATA/RAID, but just in a simple single dedicated ATA HD and working USB. There is no 680i driver for Linux as well (afaik) but installing the nForce4 drivers in the latest kernel let me configure everything. To wrap up: should I keep trying or do I have to change the MB? Synaesthesia
@tmazzoni, if you need full compatibility, I don't think you're gonna get it any time soon on the 680i. You will have to get another motherboard.
tmazzoni
Well, for the time being I have made it to get the USB ports, my video card and ethernet to work flawlessy (at least I think). As to SATA, I can wait...
