Eskurza
well, I tried everything possible to get my scsi raid working but with no luck. My adaptec SCSI card is not recognized. THis card is a 2940. I also have an onboard Scsi adapter wich is I believe 48x series also not supported. The previous kext on 10.4.1 is not present in 10.4.3 and When I try to compile it with Xcode, I got many errors.. even if I could get that compilation, I think we need some other kexts to load for SCSIFAMILY.. any body had any luck with any SCSI rais or harddrive? Any help will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5164-any-luck-with-the-scsi-adapters-on-1043/ Share on other sites
cyrana
8f111 has even less driver support than the prior version. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5164-any-luck-with-the-scsi-adapters-on-1043/#findComment-32853 Share on other sites
BaselineAce
Is there a workaround for this? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/5164-any-luck-with-the-scsi-adapters-on-1043/#findComment-55146 Share on other sites
Hagar
As far as I have been able to check, all SCSI support is gone from 10.4.3 & on.. This is terribly annoying as many cards (adaptec 2940 & 2910, an NCR & one other I forget) all worked fine under 10.4.1. I noticed adaptec has source code available for linux 78xxx drivers, but iirc there is nothing in darwin, so rolling your own would be "non-trivial" too.. crazymonkeypants
Adaptec dropped all support for MacOS X some years back. None of the shipping Intel-based Macintoshes support SCSI, so there is no driver support.
