Mebster
Depends. Ladders and black cats, ..., No. Magic and ghosts, ...., Yes.
EFI
It depends for me as well, anything that can't be explained by science, like ghosts, UFO's (valid science that is), other paranormal activities. The stereotypical black cat, and ladders is just rubbish at most, so like I said, it depends.
U.C.
Most superstitions are pretty logical as I have noticed. eg: Black Cats - They normally tend to be violent, and thus if you get too close to one, it may scratch you Ladders - Maybe when this was made up, ladders were known to be unsteady, and if you walked under one and by mistake touched it or something, it may fall on you. Most of the times I have found, that these are just exaggerations of pretty logical things. On the other hand, I totally believe in UFO's, Ghosts, Paranormal and all the X-Files kind of stuff. In fact I have the entire X-Files burnt on DVD
killbot1000
If somebody shows me convincing enough empirical evidence for something...and then places that evidence in some sort of logical context, that is when I believe it, or am willing to be on the road to believing it.
