dasepsilon
i've tried it with my logitech 4000, and it does NOT work, but it may well be that this has nothing to do with the port but with the driver itself, being not 100% compatible with my logitech. if someone has a working webcam, please give feedback, it'd be nice. macgirl
I installed it, I see only a black screen, the controls can move my camera (Logitech Orbit), I suspect since I have no QE and CI it does show only black, on the PowerBook the webcam works. Edit: I just tested running with Rosetta and it works. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4993-macam-084/#findComment-32005 Share on other sites
suleiman
SWEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeetttttttttt. Does that mean that with aMSN (webcam-enabled MSN chat client for OSX) and Macam you can now use a webcam? If that's true i'm about tto run out and buy one! suleiman
Just posting back to let everyone know my own results. I've got an Orbit webcam and QE and CI working on my laptop. I have camera controls for movement/LED toggle working with or without Rosetta on macam. Running with Rosetta on macam gives me the same "USB Communication Error" as before. I'm running verison 0.8.4 of macam. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4993-macam-084/#findComment-55492 Share on other sites
errandwolfe
With Logitech QuickCam Pro 3000, QE and CI enabled, I get CPU too bsuy. I have tried plugging into USB hub and direct to PC port same result. Also tried running in Rosetta, same result. pabster
With Logitech QuickCam Pro 3000, QE and CI enabled, I get CPU too bsuy. I have tried plugging into USB hub and direct to PC port same result. Also tried running in Rosetta, same result. Strange, I'm using a QC Pro 3000 and emulating Macam through Rosetta. Works fairly well! It did not work, however, in Universal mode. FYI.
