VaiOSX
Merak : your pae option in your Bios is probably not enabled, If you can't enable it, try the mach_kernel.nonx option. Jcruzlara : You probably have a problem with your iso. check your md5 (you can check it by typing in the terminal md5 path/of/your/iso/10.4.3_8f1099_for_dtk_userdvd.iso and compare it with Maxxuss's md5 on his website. You should be able to boot on it (check also the boot device priority in you Bios). Good luck. (The Maxxuss patch V1.1 works even if you don't have PAE compatible CPU). VaiOSX
You don't have dual boot because you boot from the DVD. You must have OS X installed on your second partition and added chain0 in c:\boot.ini Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4892-1043-pactch-v11/#findComment-31237 Share on other sites
gdogg
I'm having an altogether different problem with Maxxuss's 1.1a patch - everytime I try to download it from either of the sites he has listed, the download craps out at 5.4mb every single time without fail on about 8 download attempts now. Safari gives me an error that reads "Posix error - connection reset by peer". Does anyone know what I can do to get around this? Thanks - this is ultra-frustrating knowing that there is a patch to fix the problems that I was having trying to install 10.4.3...only to not be able to download it! My DVD-R supply (about 5 coasters on the first patch), burner, and sanity appreciate any hellp! Thanks - Greg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/4892-1043-pactch-v11/#findComment-31385 Share on other sites

cyrana
Just make sure you are using mach_kernel.nonx during install. My old Banias Pentium-M 1.6GHz says no PAE in CPUZ and Everest and it installs this way with 1.1 patch... So you should try to boot with -v -F -x options. Can you grab the screen when it's freezing ?
