hi guys....i'm really freaking out with this upgrade....

i've got 10.4.3_8f1099_for_dtk_userdvd.dmg

converted it into 10.4.3_8f1099_for_dtk_userdvd.iso.cdr

patched it with the last patch versione released by maxxuss la v1.1, no error during this process

then burnt the patched 10.4.3_8f1099_for_dtk_userdvd.iso.cdr wit disk utility.

i've restarted trying to boot from dvd and this is what a i got

1)at the beginning it asks me to pressa any key to install macos x or f8 for advanced options

now, if i press a key it restart and i get the same option "press any key to install ecc, with the counter..."

nothing good

2)if i press f8, i ve as boot option hd 111mb macosx dvd

my cpu supports sse3 and pae, i think no nx/xd, these r my cpu features:

CPU Features: FPU VME DE PSE TSC MSR PAE MCE CX8 APIC SEP MTRR PGE MCA CMOV PAT PSE36 CLFSH DS ACPI MMX FXSR SSE SSE2 SS HTT TM SSE3 MON DSCPL

what am i supposed to do??

thank u very much any help is appreciated!!

Merak : your pae option in your Bios is probably not enabled, If you can't enable it, try the mach_kernel.nonx option.

Jcruzlara : You probably have a problem with your iso. check your md5 (you can check it by typing in the terminal md5 path/of/your/iso/10.4.3_8f1099_for_dtk_userdvd.iso and compare it with Maxxuss's md5 on his website. You should be able to boot on it (check also the boot device priority in you Bios).

Good luck.

(The Maxxuss patch V1.1 works even if you don't have PAE compatible CPU).

All right but no dual booting with chain0 and boot.ini in WinXP...

I'm having an altogether different problem with Maxxuss's 1.1a patch - everytime I try to download it from either of the sites he has listed, the download craps out at 5.4mb every single time without fail on about 8 download attempts now. Safari gives me an error that reads "Posix error - connection reset by peer". Does anyone know what I can do to get around this? Thanks - this is ultra-frustrating knowing that there is a patch to fix the problems that I was having trying to install 10.4.3...only to not be able to download it! My DVD-R supply (about 5 coasters on the first patch), burner, and sanity appreciate any hellp! Thanks - Greg

Just make sure you are using mach_kernel.nonx during install.

My old Banias Pentium-M 1.6GHz says no PAE in CPUZ and Everest and it installs this way with 1.1 patch...

u mean i've to type mach_kernel.nonx at the boot prompt after pressing f8?

i've done that way, but it doesn't start and it backs to the counter...

these r my specs:
