Well, ATI kexts now load, in 10.4.1 they crashed.

In a developer edition expect nothing but strange things.

i don't think the errors i posted has anything todo with the ati (i reall don't know what im talking about) but still in the system profiler it has the same kind of errors and it for a usb device so.. i dont' know

i can't slove this problem. But i just want to try this ( what do u guys thinks of it) Here is what i want to do. I would take out all the ati kext. Then i would restart and just put back the atireadon9700.kext see if that is the kext is the problem then i would try the atireadon9700opengl(idon't know the exact name ) im gussing that osx uses all the kext that has 9700 kexts right? (because thats what osx loads for my 9800) then i could isolate which exact ati kext. what do u guys think?

Post more information, motherboard, cpu core, chipset, controllers, hd sata pata ?

Run xbench and check what values it gives you , cpu memory and hd.

ok, i tried all the atiRadeon 9700kexts, and i found the one that was giving me problems its called ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin. But the only thing is this is what i need to enable QE and CI without it QE and CI don't work. Oh yea when i load the ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin kext and QE & CI are working the system slows down like crazy as i said before. I tried to do a xbench with QE&CI but it would take a billion years. The graphics test was crazy slow with QE&CI. So i don't know what todo? can i load ATIRadeon8500GA.plugin so that i get QE&CI, or will it not work. I tried to load ATIRadeonGA.plugin but it didn't work. So idon't know what to do. I also have bunch of xbench for each one i loaded. I have them attached. U can kinda of tell which each one are. Tell me what u guys thinks

im looking at the ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin.kext plist. and i see a long numbers. such as this: sry this dosn't make any sence. I what i mean is, do i have to add anything to the plist? with the new information i found? or what i mean is, is this new information going to help me? What do these numbers mean? sry to bring this crazy thread up again.

But i just installed macosx_10.4.3_8f1111 and it runs fine with QE & CI enabled. So if any of else has a problem with their ATIReadon 9800 pro with the other version (sry forgot the name, not 8f1111 but the other one) Sry about all "begging and PLEASE help me stuff"

I have this exact same error, however totally different hardware. I've posted my question here:

I have a Dell Dimension 4550, w/ an NVidia FX5600 Ultra, 2.5GHz P4, 865PE chipset. I keep thinking its a driver error on the NV card. I don't have QE/CI, so I'm assuming it's OK to just delete all the NV files. I dont want to now, but they don't load on startup so I don't see the harm.

The only thing I've noticed on my card is the incorrect VRAM, System Profiler shows 256, but it's only a 128MB card.

Maybe this is some additional info to help with our questions?

Can I just delete all the NV* drivers? I tried the Beta1 drivers, but as per my other post, the outcome is buggy.
