So i am getting this 17 inch powerbook from this girl for $350. Is mad cheap. Has 1 ghz proc. 1 gb ram . 64 mb nvidia graphics.... super drive and that wireless thing you call airport or i dont know.

The laptop is making noises and i think is the hard drive. i have not personally herd the noises but i seen the laptop in person when i visited her weeks ago. We know that it has a faulty hard drive.

My question is if i can replace the 10.3 she got there with my JaS 10.4.8. I got that os with the intention of installing it on 2 intel p4 pcs i got. Now i wonder if i can be able to install the JaS on the powerbook G4 laptop.

Thanks

ask the girl if she still has the tiger install discs...or go searching at the usual places, I've found the ppc CD (there are 4) on the green demon before. first you'll have to get a new hdd anyway and you can get instructions on how to disassemble/reassemble from www.ifixit.com

goodluck
