I like Microsoft because I bought the original Optical Explorer with a lifetime warranty, and every time the replacements they send me break, I get a new one. Don't buy Microsoft's mice; I'm continually replacing microswitches and cables.

Logitech isn't bad. Never used Razer. I recommend keyboards with the X-Structure key mechanism, since its like a laptop but the keys go down a bit more so it's a proper keyboard.

I used to have an original Intellimouse Explorer Optical. It was good for years I only replaced it in 2006 after it started to misbehave, so it swapped it for another identical one of a similar age, it started to misbehave it went bust on another system soon after, I replaced in in January 2007 with a basic wireless one (Cobalt branded) till I could get a Logitech G7. I bought a Logitech G15 key board on the same day. I have just bought a G7 for 134.19 that has shipped. :(

I love microsoft hardware, too!

Especially the support is absolutely exemplary:

I used to have an "Microsoft Digital Media Pro" Keyboard and on of my two feets to lift the keyboard up (don't know what they're called in english maby someone has a clue for me) broke apart.

I called the (german) support and explained that I just need one of those feets.

The manager explained to me, that it would be impossible to get one out of the running construction process, so he decided to just send me the complete product as a replacement!

I asked him, if I should send them back the broken product, to proove it's broken and he just meant: "There's no need for that. I've got your product-ID thats enough proove for Microsoft! Do what you like to do with the broken one!"

Three days after I called the support, UPS knocked at my house and brought me a package!

I gave the old one to my Mum cause she is never lifting keyboards up and she was happy.

Today I use a combo of a "Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000" and a "Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000".

This combo fits perfectly together from Design.

Logitech is the best, but it depends on your needs. I use an Apple Pro keyboard and a cheap usb mouse, because my old Logitech MX700 wouldn't work with my Apple keyboard (I tried every possible combination).

Years ago I had a Microsoft Intellimouse: it sucked, absolutely.
