wayneoats
The site was sold for 40,000 dollars, its makes a profit over 2,000 dollars monthly and more, its now owned by people who make money and it just don't make sense to me if people donated to the site if its not going to benefit the community as a hole rather than in some ones bank account. just saying.. erbic
Actually, I believe it was $75K... I have nothing against donations. If I had $25 to donate, I would... but I'm kind of broke at the moment. Swad
Well, "donations" aren't the right term for them - they should really be called "subscriptions" (which is their name in the control panel). Users who "subscribe" have more freedom when posting, a larger PM box, tons more rights, etc. Everyone who has given money to the site through subscriptions have done so knowing where the money goes. And even though the site doesn't make $2,000 a month (as you claim above), there's nothing wrong with someone paying $10 if they'd like an extra-large inbox. Thanks for the comment, though.
