Hi I have a legal copy of 10.3.4 for emac machines on 2 dvd's just wondering if there is a darwin source code so that I can boot from this version or at least be able to copy some applications from it to 10.4.1 build

 

another thing in 10.4.1 my *.kext files are showing as folders how can i change this back to original settings

You should be able use a program called pacifist to get at the Apps you want on the DVD's. As for the kext's problem I don't have an answer but you might try searching www.macosxhints.com

you will never be able to boot 10.3.4 on your pc. it is ppc only.

Yes, you can use pacifist or manually to retrieve applications from those discs. no problem.

 

As for kexts, kexts are "folders", the same as applications they are bundles of files in a directory.

if u really mean 10.3.4 stop working, u will never get it running ...

different architecture, so it will never install on a normal pc

 

if u meant 10.4.3 (maybe u made a typo? ) there is a topic here and on other forums too which should help u out, if ur having trouble try to install thru vmware
