Nicklas
That's a kernel related issue. Try a differente kernel or post it as bugfix with all your specs. som3on3
use fsb=xxx in boot.plist or when booting Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46754-1049-clock-problem/#findComment-334703 Share on other sites
binary.koala
i also have a clock problem, but in my case it's very little, it runs just a few minuter ahead during the day, which is still very annoying... any solutions for that? im running p5b-bn 965 asus mobo with prescott 3.06 ghz Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46754-1049-clock-problem/#findComment-336145 Share on other sites
lord_muad_dib
it's not a issue, you need a kernel with fsb detection or set fsb=xxx at boot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/46754-1049-clock-problem/#findComment-336164 Share on other sites
Lactobacillus P
Syncing time with the apple time servers might solve it? Using the correct FSB might also correct it indeed. errandwolfe
I am having the exact same problem. My clock gains about 4 minutes a day. My FSB speed is set correctly. I guess I just have to wait until someone releases the new kernel to the torrent sites. Have no access to IRC here. sg
I am having the exact same problem. My clock gains about 4 minutes a day. My FSB speed is set correctly. I guess I just have to wait until someone releases the new kernel to the torrent sites. Have no access to IRC here. the last few 10.4.9 kernels had a very serious timing issue that caused the clock to drift (go faster) even if your FSB was set right and even or if it had auto-detection.. the latest 10.4.9 kernel does solve the problem tho, i suggest you all upgrade to it. errandwolfe
SG, is there any place to get this new kernel yet besides IRC? My internet comes through my condo complex and they unfortunately block IRC.
