Is it even worth bothering to install w/out a supported accelerated video card? I have a ATI Radeon X300 on a P4 3.0g w/ HT 1024mb ram. Will it function like a semi-decent (Mac-Mini) system? Or just be annoyingly sluggish and not worth wasting the time (and disk).

Thanks,

Just don't play any games & OpenGL stuff & video playback (Quicktime) much. Even built in games such as Chess will not play properly (can't move or see pieces move).

Another problem is only standard low resolutions are supported (1024x.. 800x..).

The point may be that supported Intel 915 and 945 chipset mobos are so cheap in the $60 to 100s that you can easily build one out of spare parts for under $199 (see thread).
