I am experimenting with running different oses on my mbp, and i was wondering if it is at all possible to run osx86 on my mbp. i want to see if exact apple hardware could run osx86 perfectly out of the box.

I've tried to do this... EFI sees it as a "Windows" disc and tries to load its BIOS emulation.

 

Then it just sits there at a blinking cursor. For hours on end.

 

As Hagar said, to make it work we'd be recreating stock OS X, to some extent.

This is exactly what i'm trying to accomplish!

 

I want this because I have a ExpressCard eSATA drive attached which is only recognized (at boot time) in legacy BIOS mode...

I want to boot from the external drive which is perfectly possible for Linux and Windows.

 

Anybody any ideas?
