Hello,

I recently installed the 10.4.9 update and somehow it screwed my installation. So I wanted to reinstall from my install disk, but it's somehow unreadable. I called the Apple Hotline, but they wanted to charge me 90€ as they couldn't say if it is my fault that it doesn't work or if it was dead on arrival.

So does anyone know where to get a new 10.4.8 install disc? I heard it has to be the 10.4.8, as all previous versions do not include Core2Duo drivers.

Cheers,

hanzoh

IDIOT, NO. He needs an APPLE Mac OSX 10.4.8, not a HACKINTOSH install disc. Don't download that, it won't work on your computer.

As for a 10.4.8 install disc, maybe try to get a different Apple tech on the phone. Aside from that, you could possibly get it by other means... (torrent). Happy hunting.

Well, the problem is, that all "internet sources" are either PowerPC or 10.4.6 or Hackintosh. :)

OK, lets make this perfectly clear.. posting links on the forum isn't helping anyone, it's just putting the entire forum in danger..

There are plenty of ways to find what you need (if it's out there) without creating threads like this.

Although I sympathise with the OP, the answer is to get back to Apple, as they really should replace your disc.
