David or Johnny
Hi! Whenever I run dual core CPU (Core Duo 2300), I get the stutters and slowness. Any way to enable two cores while still keeping 1-core smoothness? Thanks! errandwolfe
Running with both cores here, also an E6300, no problems at all like you describe. Have you made sure to update to the latest kernel? Analog
It is motherboard/BIOS dependant. For example, there is currently no working (afaik) Dell computers without cpus=1 due to limited BIOSes in them. Your specs should help tell the tale Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44975-dual-core-problem-fix/#findComment-321736 Share on other sites
WaldMeister
Deleting the IOPCCardFamily.kext, and adding fsb=133 to the boot.plist worked for me Using the latest kernel mifki. Shimms
I had to set idlehalt=0 to get it to stop randomly kernel panicking. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/44975-dual-core-problem-fix/#findComment-321781 Share on other sites
