Sorry, if this topic has been mentioned before already, I tried searching this and I couldn't find any results. However, I searched on google and did find others with the same questions, but they were never answered.

/com.apple.Boot.plist not found

was the error. I'm installing it on an abit ab9pro motherboard (Intel 965 Chipset), Will i need a clean new hard drive prior to installing OSx86? What can I do to go about this, approach it, what steps/process I should use, are there any precautions.

Thanks so much for your time in reading this, I appreciate this a lot.

Try reformatting your hard drive, thats what I did and it worked.

Can you (or someone), teach me how to reformat a primary drive? I know how to format secondary drives through the system tools under disk management, but I don't know how to reformat a primary.

Thanks for the reply by the way. Much appreciated.

Just go to Control Panel + Administrator Tools + Computer Managment + On the side of the selections is Disk Management, and there it shows all your hard drives including your Primary Drives and then reformat the one where you are installing mac on.

I've recentely tried the OSx86, uphuck realease for intel, revision 2, and i still get the same problem under a sata drive, it looks like this:

I read in uphuck's FAQ that it could possibly be from a Jmicron controller. I can confirm that my motherboard is under an ICH8R Jmicron contoller, I'm using a SATA drive that boots off of that. I don't get to any installation screen, just the promt of the image above right after choosing to boot from cd in my bios. I've been reading around and one of the suggestions from uphuck's FAQ, says I can try booting from a USB External CD/DVD Drive source, which I have, and tried, and after choosing to boot, I still get the same prompt shown above. Any thoughts on how I can go about this from here? I do have a sata-ide controller around, that's the next suggestion i'm going to try. In the meantime, I'd like to know the solution for this problem, hopefully others can understand it better as well.
