alarustic
I'd love to use my Hackintosh more if Dreamweaver/Fireworks ran faster. The system itself feels very quick and responsive. Just these two apps feel very sluggish ie not very responsive. Is there anything I can do? They do work, just it's as if everything is difficult for it! I loaded the activity monitor and whenever I do anything in either the activity pops up to 100% (or so) and back down again. I think my spec is ok: P4 3.0 Ghz (with SSE3) Dell GX270 1.75GB RAM GeForceFX5200 OS X 10.0.4.8 - everything the latest version, ie CI and QE is 'supported' Thanks for any suggestions! The Baron
Ive also noticed that app is very slow, and photoshop won't even run There are beta Universal versions of Photoshop and Fireworks floating around in the usual places.... - they both work very well. Shouldn't be long til Dreamweaver and Flash catch up.

The Baron
Ive downloaded the Photoshop CS3 universal but that crash's on start up when I select trial. Try right clicking on the app and choosing 'show package contents'. navigate to Contents - Resources - AMT. Change the name of Application.sif to Application2.sif This works for Fireworks and Photoshop...

lhsonic
I currently have Microsoft Office, Photoshop CS2, FInal Cut Pro, Dreamweaver and Flash. Use System Profiler to determine the type of app. All except for FCP is PPC which = slowwww.... But... all my apps run fine. FCP would be better if I had audio =.=... I don't have an Apple at home to compare with but rendering captured video and adding transitions takes a few seconds at school on a G4. On my computer, it took me 40 minutes to render 6 minutes worth of DivX video... I thought this was slow but then, I used Premier Pro on my PC to render the same file and it takes around that long too... so I conclude that FCP is running really fast on my Mac PC. Once again, I don't know why you can't run the files. In CS2, i get occasional software application errors but that's why I save often It usually happens when I save as for the first time though And I disagree that it's slow... it may be slower than a native app, but it's definitely not slow like lag slow. I agree that DW is a tad unresponsive though... universal betas FTW! Edited February 11, 2007 by lhsonic

lhsonic
OMG! Thanks baron! Mine works too now! I actually had a serial for this app, but it still didn't work =.= amazingly {censored}. A site told me about the .sif thing and you can rename application.sif to anything, mine's personally application.pwn :glare: too bad that site didn't tell me where this AMT folder was...
