They did say after the Intel announcement that they would make sure their products were ported, but didn't give a time frame as I recall. Has anyone tried this out? Last office for windows is from 2003, Mac Office is from 2004. I think it's safe to say that there will be no new mac version before 2007. The basically have to write it from scratch in cocoa. This will be a lot of work. Maybe we get a native Open Office before. jrrjrr Posted November 4, 2005 Author Share Posted November 4, 2005 I guess what seemed ironic to me was that MS would have had to have been developing a MacIntel version for a long time in order to be able to beta it now, at the same time that they beta the Windows version. It would have meant that they had their hands on some of the earlier ports of OSX to Intel. Anyway, this download isn't any of that.
