scsimarz
I have the same panic and waiting for debuggger problem that sam has. My specs are: Asus A7N-8X Deluxe AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 1024 DDR ATI Radeon 9800 Pro I have the installation booting from a spare 13 gig drive. I took the drive and tried to boot on another computer but got the same error. My friends computer has the same motherboard and a similar configuration to mine so I am guessing this should be a documented problem.
VaiOSX
did you tried : platform=X86PC or platform=ACPI in the boot sequence ?
scsimarz
did you tried : platform=X86PC or platform=ACPI in the boot sequence ? No I have not tried those but I am sure how I would. I am sorry I am very new to the OSx86 scene. Could you be more specific as to when I would enter those commands. At the moment I just boot my PC off hard drive and go right into darwin. VaiOSX
Once your computer is started, after the bios sequence, it will reach a black screen with darwin information asking you to type F8 to enter the Options menu. you will have to type one of these 2 commands. My problem has now been resolved, since the DVD was not properly written. Now with the correct DVD, I am able to install the Mac OS. As far as ur problem is concerned, u are using AMD AthlonXP processor, which basically does not support the SSE2 instruction(system level for multimedia), while AMD Athlon64 supports SSE2. And Mac OS X need atleast SSE2 for installation.
