bryan Rowe
My setup is: Intel P4 2.6 Ghz 2GB RAM ATI X1600 AGP video card My system profiler says I have everything supported yet I get very low Quartz scores on xbench. Here are my results: Results 49.86 System Info Xbench Version 1.3 System Version 10.4.8 (8L2127) Physical RAM 2048 MB Model ADP2,1 Drive Type HDT722516DLAT80 CPU Test 52.14 GCD Loop 95.44 5.03 Mops/sec Floating Point Basic 59.43 1.41 Gflop/sec vecLib FFT 31.47 1.04 Gflop/sec Floating Point Library 56.71 9.87 Mops/sec Thread Test 79.65 Computation 83.25 1.69 Mops/sec, 4 threads Lock Contention 76.36 3.28 Mlocks/sec, 4 threads Memory Test 76.12 System 56.83 Allocate 45.13 165.73 Kalloc/sec Fill 69.70 3389.02 MB/sec Copy 61.41 1268.49 MB/sec Stream 115.21 Copy 106.12 2191.92 MB/sec Scale 105.04 2170.05 MB/sec Add 128.83 2744.44 MB/sec Triad 124.79 2669.62 MB/sec Quartz Graphics Test 38.86 Line 38.89 2.59 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 25.35 7.57 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 26.44 2.16 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 60.40 1.52 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 109.54 6.85 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 103.24 Spinning Squares 103.24 130.96 frames/sec User Interface Test 21.91 Elements 21.91 100.56 refresh/sec Disk Test 52.92 Sequential 69.53 Uncached Write 65.56 40.25 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 61.72 34.92 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 83.61 24.47 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 70.87 35.62 MB/sec [256K blocks] Random 42.72 Uncached Write 16.84 1.78 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 70.10 22.44 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 92.59 0.66 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 108.92 20.21 MB/sec [256K blocks] Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40457-low-xbench-score-help/ Share on other sites
head
seems normal! the user interface-test was everytime bad at my testings... but with your graphics card (it is qe compatible, isn´t it?) it should be higher?! bryan Rowe
That is my thinking as well. Under system profiler it does notice the X1600 as a PCI card when it truly is AGP. It does do the native resolution of the LCD at 1650x1050@60hz and says that Quartz 2D Extreme/ QE/ and rotation are all supported. I just expect a smoother graphical performance I guess. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/40457-low-xbench-score-help/#findComment-289169 Share on other sites
glassJAw
My AGP Geforce 6600GT also says PCI and I have poor element results.... Maybe that is why? Is there a way to change the bus to AGP? Well your elements is 2x better then mine.. I have 11.xx something..
