iMags
Hi! I am trying to find out a way to download a torrent file automaticly. A software for Mac that search for the torrent -file you asks for and automaticly downloads it for you. Is this possible in any way? (I want to download the episode 14, season 2 of Prison Break for my iPod automaticly) Edited January 14, 2007 by iMags Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38630-automaticly-download-torrent/ Share on other sites

iMags
HOW? You see, Prison Break comes out 3:30AM in Norway (night-time) and what I want to do is to go to bed and make my Mac automaticly: Download the .torrent-file Open and download the torrent Convert the video for my iPod Import the video in iTunes and sync with iPod Then, in the morning (before I go to school) the episode is ready to watch on my iPod (maybe on the bus) Edited January 14, 2007 by iMags Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38630-automaticly-download-torrent/#findComment-275703 Share on other sites
U.C.
Make a script, estimate time to dl, find a converter with command line input, and then go figure with itunes. kevin_4e
That would be incredibly complex and difficult to perform. EDIT: I guess it is easier than I thought. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/38630-automaticly-download-torrent/#findComment-275723 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Azureus can automatically download a torrent file from an RSS feed. Azureus then automatically downloads the file. If Azureus puts that file into a particular folder in OSX, then a Folder Action can trigger an Applescript or Automator action to Convert the video for iPod using some conversion program. Then the action can import the video into iTunes and sync it with your iPod. The Azureus part is detailed here: http://www.engadget.com/2004/11/23/how-to-...-automatically/ Use Google to find a TV torrent site that has an RSS feed - most do. Here is info on Folder Actions: http://www.apple.com/applescript/folderactions/ I assume you have a favorite program to convert video for your iPod. iMags
I normally use iSquint, but how can that be automated? When I use the RSS downloader, it only finds 20 torrents to filter. (*to put it in another way* there are only 20 torrents in the RSS feed) How to search trough the whole torrent-database with RSS?
