I've been having the weirdest of problems with my internet connection lately and after going through all the things that I thought could fix the problem I have to post to see if somebody has had the same issue.

Problem: While browsing on the internet (safari, camino, omniweb, firefox and shiira) I can't connect to some websites. I would say I can connect to 45% of the sites I visit.

Weirdness: If I run parallels from within my mac and run explorer 7, firefox or any other browser I can connect to the same addresses with no problems.

My connection: Cable from Comcast, Wireless router from belkin (official firmware) and wireless usb dongle for my computer d-likn dwl-g622

What I have tried so far:

1. Resetting the router and disabling the firewall for the mac - no change

2. Eliminating the mac builtin firewall - no change

3. Resetting my connection to the router (usb dongle) - no change

4. Changing and trying different browser - no change

I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks guys ;)

I've been unable to access my Citibank credit card account using my Mac since about Jan. 11, 2007. I contacted Citibank and they said there was no problem with my account, or on their end, but they have had problems with Comcast "recently" and are "working to resolve the problem(s)". I contacted Comcast technical service multiple times, by phone and email and am getting nowhere. I contacted Apple, and they say the problem is not with my computer, because I have the same problem using my husband's computer. The two Macs are not networked, but do use the same router.

Me: MacG4 Power PC, OS 10.4.8. My husband has an iMac G5, also 10.4.8. I've reset Safari, tried Safari, Foxfire, and Internet Explorer. None can access certain web sites -- a small number, but critical to me. There is no firewall.

At this point I'm inclined to believe it's a problem with Comcast... This is really frustrating.

Try to change into network preferences the configuration of the ethernet card, from automatic to manuall (or viceversa)
