Hello,

I can't install Leo 9a321 without DVD ...

Here is what I've done:

- DL the DMG :)

- with CCC, I have copy the DMG to an USB External Drive (40 Gb), with "erase" and "make bootable" on

- reboot the macbook with the ALT key

- choose the external drive

I have on the screen the Apple Logo, with the turning logo

And it's all ...

What can I do ?

(sorry for my bad english ...)

I would use Disk Utility in the Utilities folder. When you open the DMG it will apear in the left pannel. Click on the drive you wish to restore the DMG to. On the top, click on the erase tab. Then in the window, click erase. After it erases, click on the restore tab. In the source field, drag the Leopard DMG into the field, it should say the name of the DMG. Do the same for the external HD, drag it to the destination field. Make sure the "Erase destination" isn't checked. Then click restore. It should take about 5 or more minutes. If you want to see why it isn't turning on, when you select the drive, hold "Apple" and "V" right away. The screen turns black and then text appears. If there is a problem you will see that. BTW, you made no grammar mistakes.

it's ok ...

:D

Leo is installed in my MacBook :)

Thanks a lot Mr.Mac !!!

But now, I have another problem: Leo boots, buet I have a blue screen, with mouse pointer on screen ... but nothing elsfe after 10 min waiting ...

Have you any idea please ?

thanks !

Did you do an Upgrade from Tiger?

I have seen many issues with the Upgrade from 10.4 to 9a321 where the Setup Assistant does not load on first boot leaving a blue screen that lasts indefinitely.

Thanks for answering !

I have 2 partitions on my HDD:

the first, 60 Gb, with Tiger Installed

The second, 20 Gb, with Leo installed (hmm, I've finished the insallation, and I've seen the screen "your computer will restart in 30 seconds)

I have done the installation of Leopard with an external HDD drive.

So, what can I do ?

I have tried to boot leo in sigle user mode, but one in the console screen, I don't know what I have to write in ...

And now, I can't boot the leo install since my external HDD ... (I have'nt do anything with this disk since install !)

So ... Chronopost is coming today to bring me an 250 Gb HDD for my Linux Computer ... I will backup the HDD of my MacBook ... and erase it totally !

I hope this will help me !
