se1zure
I am using a core 2 duo e6600 p5w dh deluxe mobo I am booting on a computer with 1 completely blank, unformated sata hard drive. Attempting to boot formt the dvd. Can you watch this video, and tell me what is happening, and what I can do to further the install? Video showing the error: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pXEyN1VgDc [[EDIT -- I just uploaded, so it may take a moment -- ]] I thought it may be because I need to disable 1 core on my dual core cpu, but the older myzar dvd loaded into the install (it didn't boot afterwards, but it loaded mind you). I'mnot positive if I need to diasble 1 core before or after install, but I can't seem to get it to disable the core (although, albeit thats not the problem at this stage). se1zure
"stop kicking your topic after only 30 minutes." sorry. I'll wait a bit longer before I kick it next time. It is just getting buried pretty fast. Kage_
You shouldn't need to disable any cores on your CPU. I have an Asus P5LD2-VM and the DVD boots straight up. Did you verify the MD5 before you burned the ISO? temis
I don't know how long you've been waiting for the install procedure to go on, but I waited approximately 3-5 min and the procedure went on with crash reporter etc ... and I could install OSX Try that before torturing yourself finding an uneeded useless workaround ...
