P4 2,66 SSE2 - 1GB RAM - Intel 865PERL - (no Club, but same Device ID) 6600GT AGP (shown as PCI) with Titan - 10.4.8 Beta9

- SimCity 4 is loading - and closes

- Age of Empires III has a very poor graphic performance

- Texture / Drawing failures with Island Minigolf

- 10.4.6 -> 10.4.7 -> 10.4.8 (old Kernel Update) -> 10.4.8 Beta9 Combo Update

- Blank Screen without Mouse-Cursor with Titan & AGPgart

- Black Screen with Natit (1 and 2)

- DVI & Titan works; Quartz & Core Image activated

- poo Xbench performance

Any hints or should I sell the HW?

Performance isn't compareable to my G4 Mac Mini with ATI 64MB card (G4 is faster).

thanks,

howie

I have a P4@3.0Ghz 1Gb ram with X1600Pro 512Mb and the performance sucks.... im using 1048 DVD from JaS Quarts and CE is working...

Civilization IV, Quake 4 isnt worth playing with poor performance.... if i wanna play i reboot to xp :P

my mini g4 feels alot faster! it feels like a linux system without dma enabled.... if anyone know how that feels :)

:censored2:

Age of Empires III is now working with poor performance: I've to disable all Shader settings in Graphic Options. All other graphic settings are enabled.

I've now Textures, Shadows and the game looks playable to me.

But I can't start other games.

XBench Quartz 21.64 - OpenGL 51.59 with Nanit Installer 1.0

I'm having performance issues too. I finally installed UT2004 3369.2 (after a huge debacle...but that's another story) only to find out it's not playable. There's a lag problem when playing, so for instance moving and looking around feels like you're drunk! Frame rate is OK, not great but acceptable, so I have no idea what the problem is.

Capran do you have a big samsung lcd? Some of those screens suffer from input lag. Do you vae it in pc mode too?

No, I have a Dell 2005FPW. Not sure why the LCD would have any affect to input. My mouse and keyboard are plugged into a hub via my KVM switch. And no, I have no performance issues under Windows.
