Gcrumpets
ive hooked up a 19inch monitor to use as a 2nd monitor with my osx86 laptop and its cool and working good but im noticing its a big inconvience to have the menu bar just on the primary monitor...i know you can change which monitor is considered primary but i want to know if there is a way to "clone" or create a 2nd menu bar on my 2nd monitor because having one is really REALLY annoying when im doing something in photoshop and want it on my bigger display but then have to drag my mouse over to my laptop if i need to access the menu...and its just a pain to keep switching primary monitors when ever im doing a different task. so that brings me back to the orginal question, any one know of any programs to make a 2nd menu bar? or clone the existing one? i have a program in windows that puts a task bar in each monitor so there has to be something like that for osx. oh and ive tried using Dejamenu, but the hotkey for that always stops working after about 30minutes for some reason... thanks. bofors
I don't know, but I suspect you turn on the main menu bar on all monitors by editing a plist somewhere. You might want to try searching in MacOSXHints for ideas too: http://www.macosxhints.com/ http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?sto...in%2Bmenu%2Bbar Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/37476-dual-monitor-set-up-question/#findComment-267074 Share on other sites

Fizzeh
I'm pretty sure this is impossible. A lot of apps need to know which monitor is the primary one. I think you aren't going to find a .plist that you can edit.
