This is so annoying, Tahoe 26.0 worked flawlessly, then 26.1 and 26.2 have become nightmare. Any other solution? RX580 GPU has 2 display port and 2 HDMI port, if that helps. Don't try to use my configuration directly. You'll need to adapt it to your needs, especially the ACPI patch section. I've provided it as an example only. My card has Outputs: 1x DVI-D, 2x HDMI, 2x DisplayPort. But I don't use DVI-D. If you have an AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP, it won't work in Mac OS without flashing the correct vBios. It's not really an RX 580, but an AMD Radeon RX 570 or even an RX 480. I also had an ASUS DUAL RX 580 8 GB, which also wouldn't work. The Gigbyte MOBO was a great platform for Hackintosh, but it's long since become obsolete. It has its own unique features, unlike the Asus, which was a real headache for me due to its BIOS until I flashed it with a programator. But it was problem-free in terms of USB ports (less than 15 and only Intel). My RX570 worked in 26.1 but had a problem in 26.2. The problem was somehow resolved after reinstallation. Try also flash vBios by newer version with UEFI GOP, it may influence. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362078-release-macos-tahoe-262/page/5/#findComment-2846319 Share on other sites

So if I need to flash with something newer, please share the link to the FW.. The card is the XFX Rx580, one of the best cards for Hackintosh and runs macOS 26.2 out of the box, just like the Sapphire Rx580. There's only one problem: It doesn't work with all MOBOs. But it does work with yours. It requires precise alignment of PCIe lanes. UEFI GOP may need an update, but I doubt there is a newer one than yours. You can search here. But be careful, you can make a brick out of your card. In any case, I advise you to save the stock vBIOS in a safe place. So the problem is in the config. Try updating and adapting this one. Matgen84
@vamose According to @MakAsrock, your XFX Rx580 works fine (like my MSI Radeon RX580 8Go OC). Update vBios seems to be unnecessary. PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) is correct instead fo your entry in config.plist. Why this incorrect entry is setting to disable ??? 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362078-release-macos-tahoe-262/page/5/#findComment-2846409 Share on other sites

The integrated video controller isn't showing up in the device list, which means, like mine, the RX580 automatically disables it when installed in the first slot. Just update WhateverGreen and Lilu. Later, I'll edit pcidevices.plist for you. And yes, all 8GB RX580 cards already include GOP. RX580 4GB cards may not. So don't flash anything. pcidevices.plist Edited January 14 by MakAsrock 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/362078-release-macos-tahoe-262/page/5/#findComment-2846441 Share on other sites

At the same time, the PCIe bus number for RX580 may change. Everything works the same for me, I just deleted the partition with Tahoe because of the very slowdown. Thebes Knossos
Hi, I still have problem for full or delta updates on both computers for Tahoe (no dev releases need only regular ones) Example here on the Haswell PC, it was installed without problem with SMBIOS MacbookPro16,1 . Attached my actual Opencore EFI, config.plist is cleaned with latest with OCAT Tested with Opencore 1.0.5 and 1.0.6 (actual 1.0.5) OCLP is removed, so no Audio, no Wi-Fi nor metal lib but I don't think that's the problem for updates.. It's same EFI for Sonoma and Sequoia and for them I get delta updates. If someone can have a look, would be nice! Currently, there's a modified kext, which is the one I use, WhateverGreen.kext v1.7.1d7, that works perfectly. However, an unofficial kext, Lilu.kext v1.9.7, has appeared that claims to work and use the official WhateverGreen.
