So all we have to do is download, boot from dvd, and install. AND can some people list the most recent and correct files for downloading and installing and which method they go with.... Some of the names in the install guides are not matching up... can we start a naming convention? like OSX86 VER 1.1.0 etc.. Do a search in google or your nearest Torrent site. been there, done that, give me some meat and potatoes... clear file names and what they do.. if i can find this info elsewhere someone please point me to the right place. i have been downloading and scouring the net for days... please tell the name of an already patched bootable install dvd???? Yea... Sorry for being rude, but you make mention of scouring google for days, but I find that quite impossible. There is information CRAMMED in all parts of this forum. Please search a little more before becoming frustrated. Many of us had to experiment AS patches were being developed. This forum is a treasure trove. Try a little harder. Yerac Semaj Posted October 18, 2005 Author Share Posted October 18, 2005 be nice.. this is exactly what i am talking about. dont accuse me of not trying...you dont know what i have been thru. well, someone prove me wrong.. show me a thread or a page that shows what i have asked for. i have scoured google and piratebay and instuction sites... still, no-one just plain comes out and says "hey, here is the most recent file names and here is the uptodate way to install". i want to know if there is an osx/linux way of installing from dvd. how do i apply the patch without windows? and, why cant i download an already patched dvd bootable inatller? like i said, some of the file names are not matching.. nordaaa Posted October 18, 2005 Share Posted October 18, 2005 i cant believe this thread has gone this long without one usefull link showing up.all you guys are going to do is flame me??? at least prove me wrong with a link???? like i said i am newbie and would love to be proven wrong and to find these magical online instructions i am obviously just "too lazy" to find right? hmm, like i said, go to piratebay and download this file i mentioned. then download transmac, download maxxus anti-tpm 0.5.iso. open the downloaded mac iso file. extract maxxus patch. replace files of the mac iso with the maxxux files. burn on to a dvd. reboot. that's a however short path of installing mac os x86. first get that dev dvd i mentioned with bittorrent. while downloading, search for more resources about mac x86. i mean i never worked with mac os. just windows. and now, i got mac os x86 installed. so... Yerac Semaj Posted October 18, 2005 Author Share Posted October 18, 2005 i want to be clear that i am NOT asking for a link to any pirated files. i want a link to any threads or pages that give clear and in laymens terms directions for which files do what and how to patch without windows... nordaaa, thanks for the info about transmac, yet it wont help me do the patch because i am using osx on my machines.. anyone know how to apply the patch using linux or osx? please, i am not trying to right off the bat make enemies here... i did not expect such a cold response from the members... i still stand by what i said, i just cant find any really simple and clear directions thats all.
