Is there any cheap Sound Card or USB Sound Cable that works with Sequoia?. My Dell Vostro 3020 has an Internal Sound Card which is Cirrus Logic and it is not supported by AppleALC. I also tried with VoodooHDA on Sequoia but it didn't work either. I just need the sound, it doesn't matter if it's good or not..

Here is my MacPro that thinks it is a iMac 19,1. I can boot it as a MacPro 7,1 but there doesn't seem to be any difference as far as I can tell. I have a Mac WiFi card that works if I boot Ventura but only Bluetooth works for any OS after that. I also have a Intel card for WiFi. The motherboard works pretty well but for some strange reason USB 2 isn't working. USB 3 works though and is recognized by the OS. I am used to it being the other way around. The sound works with AppleALC. No root patching.

The case is an older MacPro with a single CD drive that gives more room for the motherboard below it. I used parts from a PC case and lots of grinding with a Dremel to make things fit. It is sturdy enough and I can sit on it without anything bending. The motherboard is a Gigabyte Z390 Gaming X.

Good morning
I wanted to report a problem that a friend of mine has been experiencing since yesterday when he installed maOS Sequoia with the OCL procedure on the iMac 18.3, that is, that the original Apple Bluetooth keyboard and mouse continuously disconnects, not allowing it to work normally.
I was kindly asking if anyone has encountered this problem and how they solved it.
Or any suggestions on the procedure that I can adopt to try to solve it.
Thanks

My Device is BCM93460CD and is native. Not need any kext to work Bluetooth devices. Independent of installed or not OCLP.

Hi, I have no problems with Sonoma and OCLP for Nvidia 780. Everything works. Concerning Sequoia, I have tried many times both on my Sonoma to Sequoia updated ssd and on a brand new installation. I mean checking EFI and etc. The actual EFI boots Sonoma and Sequoia but as you can see from pics, this is what I get. If i choose Intel UHD 630 it end with a black screen. It makes me mad since I don' t understand (which is worse that knowing what the problem is even if I can't fix it). It can happen of course but I would try to fix it if possible. Thanks guys for your reply.

I can't believe the problem was the intel hd 630 enabled in bios. After ages trying everything (including makumba) and after a bunch of good and brave friends here helping me..I disabled it and bang!! no more black boxes and a full functional Nvida 780. I don't know why and sincerely I don't give **** about it. It works. Period. Thanks a lot to those who helped me so kindly.  Now I need two fingers of Jack Daniels 'cause i hear a voice in my head singing "sucker" and I'm afraid I deserve it.

Thanks a lot.  I just want to add that every success we achieve is the result of the work of everyone here. Also four strange guys from Liverpool knew that you can get by with a little help from your friends.

Hi you can find on ebay a lot of cheap usb sound audio if you are not interested in a good sound but if you have a pci slot (actually I don't know your PC) have a look here, it works and you can find an inexpensive sound card as well. Fiio usb DAC are expensive but are really good.

I keep a spare USB Sound Blaster Play 3 on hand when I have trouble getting sound to work. It never lets me down for Mac or Windows. It's not dirt cheap but the sound is always good.

The London sound scene is where I'm at.

@bluenote56 you can also get high with a little help from your friends, but that's a conversation for a different forum.

Sadly, those days are over for me.

Acidanthera Devs released a new version of NVMeFix.kext here that "Added constants for macOS 15 support."  I didn't realize that NVMeFix.kext had not yet been updated for Sequoia.

If you have been experiencing any NVMe SSD issues in Sequoia and you're not using -lilubetaall boot-arg, you might want to test this updated kext.

@deeveedee

Thanks for the info. I knew that NVMe was partially updated for Sequoia. And, from what I read in the NVMe GH site, "some features might not be available on newer versions as of now" (I guess it's about Sonoma and Sequoia). Anyway, I have this kext in Ventura, Sonoma and Sequoia with no noticeable issues.

Here's why you should disable the option to "Download new macOS Updates when available" (if you are not on any of the beta branches)::

Apparently, macOS 15 is downloaded and prepared for installation in the background if this option is enable and it seems that it changes the version info in "SystemVersion.plist". I had a look into the "SystemVersion.plist" but it had the correct version information. So I guess OCLP was looking in a different place. Anyway, I could not fix this and hat to reinstall Sonoma.

Background: after installing Sequoia on a different Volume and patching it, I noticed that the iGPU acceleration was no longer working properly under Sonoma. The external display of my Lenovo T530 still turned on (which it does not on an unpatched system), but I had no transparancy and the system felt sluggish which is an indicater that iGPU acceleration is not working. I don't know why patching macOS Sequoia has an influence on an already patches Sonoma install on another Volume but that's how it is – at least on Ivy Bridge.
