Don't use merge files -Don't use Drag and Drop into EFI partition. If you have an RX550 graphics card and it's running a baffin kernel, it's mac compatible. However, if it's a Lexa, the baffin device id (67FF) needs to be spoofed. StormRider77 Posted June 6, 2025 Share Posted June 6, 2025 If you're using the RX 550 (Lexa), keep in mind that hardware acceleration might not work properly without patches — it's a common issue with that GPU on macOS. For your setup with the 14900KS and Z790 board, you’ll probably need to build a custom EFI based on OpenCore 0.9.5+ with the latest Intel Ethernet kexts and proper ACPI patches for PEGP. Also, make sure your SSDT for the GPU is mapped correctly and agdpmod=pikera is set in boot args. If you're just starting out, Dortania's OpenCore Install Guide is the best place to begin. You won’t find a plug-and-play EFI for that exact combo, but you can adapt a Z790 EFI with similar specs.
