zero000
Hi there, I'm trying to boot with Niresh's Mojave but I just keep getting a black screen and am unable to see the Clover boot menu. First, I assumed the downloaded DMG was corrupted, but after comparing it with the original hash, it matched. While searching, I came across a thread in this forum here that guides on creating a new USB installer entirely from Windows. Thread link: I attempted to follow the same tutorial on the Niresh's Mojave that I already have, but either this didn't help to boot into clover's boot menu. My question here is how can I create a bootable USB installer without downloading another Mojave image? Looking forward to your replies… Thank you! Cyberdevs
Hello and welcome to Insanelymac.com Pleas add your hardware specs to your signature first and then let me ask you this; Why do you need to to use nireshe's dmg image? Download the macOS Installer from App Store and then use the guide you mentioned to create the USB disk and then with a simple search you can find a similar EFI folder for your hardware if they are compatible. Use it as a starting point and then you can optimize that EFI folder to match your exact hardware. If you cant't access App Store you can download macOS Installer from Apple's servers using the same method described in the guide above. I would follow another tutorials in this forum but unfortunately most of them are Mac computer based and I don't have mac computer. Quote Use it as a starting point and then you can optimize that EFI folder to match your exact hardware I tried copying the EFI files from another working USB installer but that didn't help either. It's seems like the Niresh's Mojave are missing something but I don't know what is it. I have another Mac image Installer but this one are heavily modified and I can only see the clover boot menu with this one. Cyberdevs
This is a very old laptop, even if you manage to get macOS installed on this computer I don't think it'll be much useful specially with 2 GB of RAM. zero000
I have seen the thread you have linked here before I even open this thread here. I think I should explain my situation more here, I'll try later to add some pics and more details. zero000
I have solved the issue by restoring an working EFI partition into the USB. The niresh mojave was missing EFI partition that's reason why I couldn't boot with it. The trick I used was like this: 1. Backup the EFI partition from another working hackintosh that I already had. 2. Format the USB with Bootdisk Utility. 3. Restore the hfs file extracted from niresh-mojave.dmg into second partition. 4. Restore the backed-up EFI partition into first partition. All thanks goes to the author of Bootdisk Utility Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/358651-q-how-can-i-make-a-mojave-usb-installer-from-windows/#findComment-2816456 Share on other sites
zero000
I was able to boot into the Mojave Installer, but then I encountered an error message that said: “No packages were eligible for installation.” I resolved this issue by setting the date back to an earlier time using the terminal. However, I am currently facing a new problem where the installer displays the message: “About xx minutes remaining.” I have left my laptop in this state for approximately 1 hour, but the progress bar remains stuck at the initial stage. zero000
Hi, I have checked the OpenCore's page and it's says the last Mac OS supported my CPU (Penryn) was: macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra So I don't think I'll able to run Mojave on this PC, so it's time to move on. Thank you @Cyberdevs for trying to help me.
