  1. Hello all,I have successfully gotten my Hackintosh working 99 percent. The remaining issue that I am running into is that my system will randomly kernel panic upon a user issued shutdown or reboot WHEN I have either a usb sound card or usb headset plugged into any of my USB ports (both 2.0 and 3.0). If I remove the headset, it will power down with no issues. Does anyone have any suggestions? My system is as follows:MacOS 10.14 MojaveGigabyte H370 HD38400 i5 Coffee LakeRadeon RX 580 sound cardI have the internal audio disabled. I have also attached my config.plist file.I have the following Kexts installed:FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kextUSBInjectAll.kextFakeSMC.kextWhateverGreen.kextIntelMausiEthernet.kextXHCI-300-series-injector.kextLilu.kextThank you. config.plist
  2. Hey all, im new in Hackintosh world, I managed to install macOS Mojave in ASUS laptop x555LA, WIFI,HDMI,INTEL graphics, touchpad, laptop keyboard, ethernet, sound( barely, have to change it every time i run the laptop) is WORKING (after to much hours :D), also clover starts well without USB connected. Now my problem is that in clover, USB mouse and USB keyboard works perfectly but when MacOS load, don't know why, they stop working(just touchpad and lap keyboard working), I tried all to repair this but I can't, anyone can help me? also brightness not working but not a problem, just want USB keyboard and USB mouse working. AH and sorry for my English, im trying my best :D. btw, USB mouse and keyboard worked when installing Mojave, but never worked in desktop or in login. Thanks so much , if u need more info I will be here!
  3. I recently installed High Sierra on my Ryzen system, just to find out how crappy the USB situation really is on AMD systems. The only choice is basically most of your ports flat out not working or GenericUSBXHCI crashing every time you pull out a thumbdrive. So after some trial and error here are my findings. The USB ports controlled by the XHCI controller on the SoC worked fine, but the ones attached to the chipset XHCI controller didn't. That's when I looked at the log and saw these lines: PTXH@00000000: AppleUSBXHCIPCI::createPorts: port 1 unsupported protocol USB 03.10 PTXH@00000000: AppleUSBXHCIPCI::createPorts: failed to allocate port 1 It turns out that for some reason the AppleXHCIPCI driver doesn't support the first two ports on the B350 chipset (made by ASMedia) USB controller. And after the driver fails to allocate port 1 it just stops and doesn't even look at the rest of the ports. So I first tried commenting out the first two ports from the DSDT and that worked and made all the other ports show app in the IOService tree. Than I quickly tested all the USB ports and it turns out that the 2 problematic ports aren't even wired to anything. But instead of editing the DSDT I wanted a cleaner solution, because I don't want to re-edit my DSDT every time I update the BIOS or change some BIOS settings. So here is my small SSDT that disables the stock PTXH device and adds a new device XHCI, that has all the ports needed for my board (ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS). 4. Hi guys, this thread is to show you a new and open source app, created by me, that I called TINU: The name means: TINU Is Not #####, the U refers to a popular software that is used to create macOS hackintosh installers (that for good reasons is banned on this forum), but the aim of the name is to explain that this app is a totally different thing from that software and works in a totally different way. This app basically is a graphical interface for the createinstallmedia executable that is inside the macOS and Mac OS X installer apps, it is capable to create a bootable installer completely vanilla like what you do using the command line method, and also this method is recommended by apple itself. In addition to this, this app provvides to you simplicity and flexybility, and lets you to avoid most of the steps needed with every other app. TINU allows you to create easily a bootable macOS installer without messing around with command line stuff and without using disk utility, all you need to do is use the app and then install clover on the usb drive once TINU has finished or leave it as is if you want to use it on a real Mac. Features: - Simple-to-use UI that allows you to easily start the bootable macOS installer creation process. - It can work with every macOS installer app that has the createinstallmedia executable inside its resources folder (including also beta and newly released installers). - You can use any erasable volume that is at least 7 GB of size (if the volume's drive is not in GUID format, TINU will re-format it accordingly). - Can work with the Mac OS recovery system, so you can create a bootable macOS installer from the macOS installer itself or from the macOS recovery partition, and you can use TINU to install macOS, too. - 100% clean: The bootable macOS installers created with this tool are vanilla, just as if you created them using the command line "createinstallmedia" method in Terminal. - Open Source: You can verify what this program does on your computer and you can create your own version by downloading and playing with the source code. - Does not require any special preparations. Just open the program, make sure you have a USB drive plugged in and have a macOS installer app on your disk. - No need to use Disk Utility. TINU can format your drive or partition for you. - Integrated EFI partition mounter tool. - Uses recent, modern, APIs and SDKs and the Swift 3 language. - Transparent graphics style available (type alt-S or choose from the menu bar: View -> Use transparent style). - Works using the latest versions of macOS and will also support newer Mac installers out of the box without requiring an update. - Offers advanced features to customize your bootable macOS installer. Features that are planned for future versions: - Install and configure [Clover](https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/). - Install kexts into Clover's kexts folder. - Clover drivers customization - Use custom DSDT in Clover - Integrated pre-made Clover config templates database from a remote and open repository. - Support for other languages, at least Italian. # Requirements: - A computer that runs Mac OS X Yosemite or a more recent version (Mac OS X El Capitan is required to use TINU in a macOS recovery or installer). - A drive or a free partition (on a drive which already supports GUID) of least 7 GB that you want to turn into a macOS/Mac OS X installer. - A copy of a macOS/Mac OS X installer app (Maveriks or newer versions are supported) in the /Applications folder or in the root of any storage drive on your machine (excepted the drive or volume you want to turn into your macOS install media). 5. I would like to try to install Catalina on a 64 GB flash drive, in order to bypass the SATA issue. I so thay many managed to do that on external SSDs. Actualy, already tried it. The first step finished ok, just it took much longer. After first booting from the target flash drive from the installing flash drive, it blocked on something like ”installer will create a non-removeable partition”. Perhaps if I waiting long enough, I would have passed that phase, but there were already some 15 minutes since it blocked.
  6. Hi guys, My current build is working flawlessly under High Sierra except for one thing : my Roccat Kone EMP mouse won't work after waking up from sleep. I have to disconnect/reconnect it to get it to work again. Other mice (less sophisticated) do work upon wake. However , the Roccat mouse doesn't have any issue under Windows 10 or on an iMac running SL 10.6.3 . I wish I could try under Sierra ... Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help Here are my build details and a backup from the ioreg: Mobo: ASRock Z370 ExtremePro4 - CPU: i7-8700k - RAM: 16GB G.SKILL DDR4 - GPU: NVidia GTX1080 - SSD: Crucial M4 512GB Kexts used: AppleALC.kext CodecCommander.kext FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext FakeSMC_CPUSensors.kext FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext FakeSMC_LPCSensors.kext FakeSMC.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext Lilu.kext USBInjectAll.kext XHCI-200-series-injector.kext i7-8700k OSX.ioreg.zip
  7. Hi everybody, First this is my first post on this forum so I hope Im creating a topic at the right place Im french, so sorry for my bad english So I recently made a Hackintosh Laptop (on a ROG GL553VD-DM078T ) This laptop is based on a i7 7700HQ and a GTX1050. I installed MacOS Sierra using the Clover bootloader and succesfully installed the kexts needed but one of them is causing trouble. I Broke my internal ethernet Port so I must use a USB-C ethernet dongle in order to acces the internet ( The Integrated Wifi chipset isn't compatible so that's my only way to connect.) Without the UsbInjectAll.kext everything works exept my laptop keyboard wich use USB (yes, the internal ASUS Aura keyboard use USB interface, not PS2 or IC2 ). But if I load the UsbInjectAll kext the keyboard works, but the USB-C ethernet dongle is no more recognized at all ( not even in the system report menu) The weird thing is that if I plug a USB stick in the USB-C port, it works, but the ethernet dongle won't. So now I have 2 options : -or I load the UsbInjectAll kext and I get my keyboard to work -or I disable the UsbInjectAll kext so i can get back my ethernet USB-C dongle to work, but no more keyboard.... Can someone explain why do this happen ? Is there a way to get both The Ethernet dongle and my internal keyboard to work at the same time ? If Needed, I can provide more information about the hardware Used etc. Have a good Day/night

    usb 3.0s?

HI, i've installed high sierra a while ago and never really used it that much but i got bored of w10 so i've decided to use it as my daily driver for a while and i noticed that usb 3.0 ports don't work with usb 3 devices and only with usb 2.0 devices(capped at the 480mb/s limit of usb 2.0), is there a way to get past that? i couldn't find it in this forum, i don't need the speed that much for right now(even tho i might since i shoot in raw and usb 2.0 is slow for file transfer of big photos or videos i take on holidays or on days off) but i'd like to at least be able to use the usb 3.0s with my usb 3 devices and hub. Hope that i write this post correctly, english is not my main language. ps i don't need because i'm on lan but does it exist a driver/kext for intel wifi/bluetooth combo integrated in my z87 mpower(centrino 2200) ? bluetooth works already.
  10. Hey , I have installed MacOS Mojave on my desktop I am facing issue in which the front pane USB ports on my cpu are working only after a reboot. When I start my PC after a shut down the USB ports docent seem to work as USB pen drive is not detected Please Help
  11. Short Version: I have two drives with the exact same EFI folder (and I can boot into Clover from either one), shouldn't I be able to boot into MacOS from either one? More Detail: I've done a few hacks so far and this never happened. (Gigabyte z370 / 8700k / Vega, Asus z390 / i5-9600k / 1080). Now, I'm setting up a ThinkPad X1 Gen 6. (Yes, I do expect problems on laptops, but that's not the question). Mojave 10.14.4 now boots from the internal SSD. So far, so good. Here's the problem. I installed Mojave on a USB drive (for backup / rescue) and copied the entire EFI partition of my boot drive to the EFI partition on the USB drive. So... I should be able to boot from the USB drive, right? Wrong. Ran Clover installer on the USB itself. Same outcome. With F12, I can boot from the USB into Clover and select the OS on the USB. The boot sequence hangs on End Random Seed, but before the usual '++++++++' line. So, boot into Clover on internal boot drive, then select OS on USB. Same thing. Read the forums, I saw the posts about AptioMemoryFix, so I tried the various other drivers on the USB. No go. I haven't found the solution yet to the USB boot issue, but what puzzles me is that if I have two drives with the exact same EFI folder (and I can boot into Clover from either one), shouldn't I be able to boot into MacOS from either one?

  14. Okay so i have an acer 5742 specs: processor:intel i3 core ram:2g I tried to install iatkos l2 on my laptop and everything went fine and the installation loaded up perfectly but when it started my mouse wasnt working niether using the trackpad or the usb i even used 3 usb mouses and i still have it not working. btw, excuse me if i said anything wrong but i am a newbie here
  15. Do I have a USB problem or not? All USB ports only work really with me AFTER sending El Capitan to sleep and wake it up again(dummy kexts, GenericUSB makes no difference, with FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext all USB ports are dead). In Disk Utility some disks are somehow detected (grayed out, spinning wheel, not mountable). After Wake however all disks work properly. No problems at all with other devices like keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth or USB audio. Has anyone an idea what's going on? Many thanks! Edit: Ok, USB 2.0 Ports are working (System profiler shows them as usb 3.0). All USB 3.0 Ports dead. Edit2: Compiled DSDT (it's a mess but at least no errors anymore, only a few hundred remarks and warnings...). The result: 4 of the 6 USB 3 Ports are now recognized (used Dummykexts with port restrictions removed). Has that something to do with iMac 14,2 SMBIOS (need it for my nVidia to work, Macpro defintion leads to black screen)? Sleep doesn't work anymore, seems USB wakes the Captain instantly. Any suggestions?
  16. Hello, Recently I finally complete the installation of ML on my laptop PB TK85. After struggling a bit with the graphics card, i managed to make it fully functional. The wireless ,ethernet and sound cards are ok either. However there is one issue with the USB that i cannot solve. The 3 USB ports sometimes work, other don't . I have to reboot the PC a few times to make it work. My laptop have am integrated web cam and card reader and I saw that when this peripherals are loaded, the USB ports not and vice-versa. Because I need more the USB ports I don't mind uninstall the kexts responsible for the camera and card reader, the problem is i don't know specifically which they are. So if anyone every experienced the same situation can point me in the right direction to solve the issue? Thanks in advance
  17. Hello, I have a problem getting the installer to load I have done the install method (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289062-109-mavericks-simple-vanilla-hackintosh-install-guide/) Short desc: the bootloader is Enoch-chameleon r2748, on GPT/HFS+, for legacy bios The issue is when I boot the install usb drive, it starts in verbose, then a gray screen with the rainbow-mouse shows up, and hangs on there. @native resolution. The installation screen doesn't show up I have searched on google before posting I have previously used this method with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and it worked fine, I think there's somethin wrong with the loading process of it: when i did the same on ML, it worked My Specz: GA z77m D3H motherboard (F14 rom Bios&Uefi modes) Intel i7-2600 SandyBridge (no oc, all settings stock) AMD R7-265 (Sapphire Dual-X) 8GB ram (2x4 1333) Display Dell 22' on main gpu DVI out HD Wd CV green 1Tb/ SSD transcend 64GB Detailed desc. My motherboard series is known to work OOTB, and it does on Yosemite, better on ML. The usb will boot even without kext and other mods, Are added fakesmc, dsdt, acpi patch, libc, libc++ from Enoch. I used cameleon instead of clover (will try when installed on HD) because it crashes on my Virtualbox VM (osx 10.11), also crash creating uefi partitions. Bios settings seems to be correct.. Boot args: >/Kernel (to load original kernel (10.10, also 10.11 works) from usb root/kernel) >/Kernel -F -x -v dart=0 acpi=0 pcirootuid=1 graphicsenabler=no (dont help )
  18. Hi, I have prepared the USB installer using http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/426-el-capitan-mbr-patch/ And now when boot using all the combinations of boot flag ( USBBusFix=Yes PCIRootUID=0 -v -x -f IGPEnabler=No, GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x3000) Each time it gets stuck at Still waiting for the root device Please help, Does below would help http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/306777-guide-usb-fix-el-capitan-1011/ thanks Sachin
  19. After weeks of digging, I've found a partial solution for the USB problem of my hack. No guide I've found worked so far, injectors or fake kexts made the problem even bigger in every case. So I concentrated on getting the DSDT as correct as possible. My personal DSDT does only apply to a few people out there I know, but may be used as a helpful reference. For example I renamed XHC to XHC1 (so that OS X can find it) removed _PWR arguments from EHCI, XHC1 and HDEF to make sleep working (resulted in a new wake-problem ). What is working with the attached DSDT and what not : Ports detected: 2 of 2 USB 3 on the front, 2 of 4 USB rear ports, 2 of 2 USB 2 rear ports USB 2 devices not recognized when plugged into USB 3 ports Sleep is working, however, wake up works only when power button is pressed. I'm using iMac14,2 SMBIOS for now. Still looking for alternatives that fit my pc better. Does anybody has any advice or a possible DSDT fix regarding the wake / sleep problem? Thanks in advance for all the effort !!! DSDT.aml.zip
  20. System Configuration: Processor: AMD FX 8320 MB: M5A97 R2.0 GPU: RX 470 4GB I get the system to boot into osx sucessfully with "kernel=kernel.amd npci=0x3000 USBBusFix=Yes -f." Keyboard and Mouse refuse to funtion. I have put the usb fixes in for sierra and the kernel to make it function. Ive put IOMMU to yes and to 64bit, disabled uefi due to boot issues.
  21. I just installed Mavericks 10.9 on a mid-2013 macbook air. The external keyboard is no longer working from either usb port (external usb mouse does work, however, as does external firewire display). Reset SMC to no effect. Any suggestions appreciated.
  22. I'll attempt to keep this short and sweet. My specs: MOBO - ASRock 970 Extreme3 CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. RAM - 8GB GPU - Gigabyte GTX 550 TI HDD 1 - 1TB (2 partitions: Windows 8.1 OS/Data respectively. Formatted and partitioned as MBR/NTFS) [Primary boot drive] HDD 2 - 500GB (Formatted and partitioned as GPT/HFS+ ready for ML) [Will (hopefully) eventually be secondary boot drive] My issue: I've been trying to use Niresh's 10.8.5 for AMD distro/guide (by using TransMac to place the image onto the SD card,) however I'm getting a boot loop upon selecting the desired HDD in Chimera. Step 1 - SATA as AHCI - Check Step 2 - ACPI as S3 (suspend to ram) - Check Step 3 - Legacy USB support - Check Step 4 - UEFI boot off/disabled - Check Step 5 - Boot from USB - Success Step 6 - Select destination - Boot loop I've followed the provided guide to-the-T, yet it's all been futile. What are my exact steps and is this possible to do using a USB MicroSD card reader? I do have a separate 4GB flash drive, but ML doesn't fit. If possible, maybe I can install Lion and upgrade to Mountain Lion afterwards from within Lion? That is, of course, if I must use my 4GB flash drive and the USB SD card reader is the cause of all these problems. In other words, everyone's situation is unique, so what steps should I be following based on my available peripherals and specs above? I appreciate all of your help. If you need more information, please ask and I'll provide it the best I can. EDIT: Corrected partition/format type of HDD 2.
  24. Hi guys! I'm trying to get usb 2.0 retrocompatibility (for mass storage only - other usb 2.0 device works) from my usb 3.0 port. I'm not using any dsdt for my mb (check my signature). Untitled.tiff Any idea?
  25.
