  1. Hello all,I have successfully gotten my Hackintosh working 99 percent. The remaining issue that I am running into is that my system will randomly kernel panic upon a user issued shutdown or reboot WHEN I have either a usb sound card or usb headset plugged into any of my USB ports (both 2.0 and 3.0). If I remove the headset, it will power down with no issues. Does anyone have any suggestions? My system is as follows:MacOS 10.14 MojaveGigabyte H370 HD38400 i5 Coffee LakeRadeon RX 580 sound cardFixed Solution Use this folder for serie 100/200/300 https://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=8222 reboot and extract one send_me for full dsdt patch by MaLd0n --Run_Me RunMe.app

  3. Hi guys, this thread is to show you a new and open source app, created by me, that I called TINU: The name means: TINU Is Not #####, the U refers to a popular software that is used to create macOS hackintosh installers (that for good reasons is banned on this forum), but the aim of the name is to explain that this app is a totally different thing from that software and works in a totally different way. This app basically is a graphical interface for the createinstallmedia executable that is inside the macOS and Mac OS X installer apps, it is capable to create a bootable installer completely vanilla like what you do using the command line method, and also this method is recommended by apple itself. In addition to this, this app provvides to you simplicity and flexybility, and lets you to avoid most of the steps needed with every other app. TINU allows you to create easily a bootable macOS installer without messing around with command line stuff and without using disk utility, all you need to do is use the app and then install clover on the usb drive once TINU has finished or leave it as is if you want to use it on a real Mac. Features: - Simple-to-use UI that allows you to easily start the bootable macOS installer creation process. - It can work with every macOS installer app that has the createinstallmedia executable inside its resources folder (including also beta and newly released installers). - You can use any erasable volume that is at least 7 GB of size (if the volume's drive is not in GUID format, TINU will re-format it accordingly). - Can work with the Mac OS recovery system, so you can create a bootable macOS installer from the macOS installer itself or from the macOS recovery partition, and you can use TINU to install macOS, too. - 100% clean: The bootable macOS installers created with this tool are vanilla, just as if you created them using the command line "createinstallmedia" method in Terminal. - Open Source: You can verify what this program does on your computer and you can create your own version by downloading and playing with the source code. - Does not require any special preparations. Just open the program, make sure you have a USB drive plugged in and have a macOS installer app on your disk. - No need to use Disk Utility. TINU can format your drive or partition for you. - Integrated EFI partition mounter tool. - Uses recent, modern, APIs and SDKs and the Swift 3 language. - Transparent graphics style available (type alt-S or choose from the menu bar: View -> Use transparent style). - Works using the latest versions of macOS and will also support newer Mac installers out of the box without requiring an update. - Offers advanced features to customize your bootable macOS installer. Features that are planned for future versions: - Install and configure [Clover](https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/). - Install kexts into Clover's kexts folder. - Clover drivers customization - Use custom DSDT in Clover - Integrated pre-made Clover config templates database from a remote and open repository. - Support for other languages, at least Italian. # Requirements: - A computer that runs Mac OS X Yosemite or a more recent version (Mac OS X El Capitan is required to use TINU in a macOS recovery or installer). - A drive or a free partition (on a drive which already supports GUID) of least 7 GB that you want to turn into a macOS/Mac OS X installer. - A copy of a macOS/Mac OS X installer app (Maveriks or newer versions are supported) in the /Applications folder or in the root of any storage drive on your machine (excepted the drive or volume you want to turn into your macOS install media). 4. Hi all, after I upgraded to 10.14.6 the number of usable USB ports decreased.USBInjectAll is loaded.Any suggestions on how to get all ports working again?cheers.d
  5. Hello, I am new here, so I apologize if I've chosen the wrong subforum for this question. I am scratching my head a bit on an issue with a clients MacBook pro. He was having USB connection issues and claimed the laptop wasn't detecting any USB connected to it. Figuring it was a failed USB port, I took it in but ended up just feeling more confused after doing some diagnostics. It came in loaded with Catalina, a recent upgrade spurned the beginning of the issues the client told me. I decided to revert it back to the default OS in the base recovery image, which is Yosemite. Upon finishing the install, I found that the USB port was in fact working again. Figuring I had resolved the issue, I updated it back to Catalina just to be met with the same issue upon reinstalling. SMH Tried nvram, pram, and smc reset each to no avail. One thing to note is that during boot, the USB is getting power as it lights up when connected during boot up. But the ports are dead as soon as it boots into the operating system. I have a strong feeling that this is a driver issue. I tried unloading and reloading the USB IO kext, with no noticable change. Is anyone here familiar with this issue? Would there be any other kext related troubleshooting i can perform ? Is it possible to revert to the kext used in Yosemite on catalina ? One last thing to note, on Yosemite the USB was functioning 100%. But I did get a strange notification that the USB ports were using power even when there wasn't any connected to it. Either way, I find it very very odd that it works perfectly in Yosemite. Thanks in advance Steve
  6. A setup with an IVY bridge e5430 dell worked fine. but now seems the XHC device is a hardware issue. There is no bios setting to enable disable. Only enable/disable boot/external.USB in general. All set to enable. Also just mention of USB in power settings wake on USB. Did show up when I set up the ports w/USBINJECTALL, then was working on imessage isssue when the DSDT stopped loading after updating clover. I had two versions of MAcIasl. One with iasl 6. and one had 6.2a. Kept the 6.2a, was RM's most recent. One problem Im confused by is it compiles fine but after saved if its opened, the error that was repaired comes back. This part: If (LEqual (PM6H, One)) { CreateBitField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0C._RW, ECRW) // _RW_: Read-Write Status Store (Zero, ECRW (If (PM0H) { CreateDWordField (BUF0, \_SB.PCI0._Y0D._LEN, F0LN) // _LEN: Length Store (Zero, F0LN) })) } Loads with the error but not sure what happened on the original that worked. Any Idea? Going over the boot log, The XHC device is there under the PCI readings dont think hardware issue... 1e31 Just seems the saved DSDT should not have errors after saved, but using the other version of Maciasl, the DSDT would save without errors and open without but it would not load. acted like there was no FakeSMC... Edit: Seems all the saved DSDT have that error when re-opened using that version RM's Maciasl w/iasl v.6.2a but seems to load fine. debug_8785.zip
  7. Hey all, im new in Hackintosh world, I managed to install macOS Mojave in ASUS laptop x555LA, WIFI,HDMI,INTEL graphics, touchpad, laptop keyboard, ethernet, sound( barely, have to change it every time i run the laptop) is WORKING (after to much hours :D), also clover starts well without USB connected. Now my problem is that in clover, USB mouse and USB keyboard works perfectly but when MacOS load, don't know why, they stop working(just touchpad and lap keyboard working), I tried all to repair this but I can't, anyone can help me? also brightness not working but not a problem, just want USB keyboard and USB mouse working. AH and sorry for my English, im trying my best :D. btw, USB mouse and keyboard worked when installing Mojave, but never worked in desktop or in login. Thanks so much , if u need more info I will be here!
  8. I recently installed High Sierra on my Ryzen system, just to find out how crappy the USB situation really is on AMD systems. The only choice is basically most of your ports flat out not working or GenericUSBXHCI crashing every time you pull out a thumbdrive. So after some trial and error here are my findings. The USB ports controlled by the XHCI controller on the SoC worked fine, but the ones attached to the chipset XHCI controller didn't. That's when I looked at the log and saw these lines: PTXH@00000000: AppleUSBXHCIPCI::createPorts: port 1 unsupported protocol USB 03.10 PTXH@00000000: AppleUSBXHCIPCI::createPorts: failed to allocate port 1 It turns out that for some reason the AppleXHCIPCI driver doesn't support the first two ports on the B350 chipset (made by ASMedia) USB controller. And after the driver fails to allocate port 1 it just stops and doesn't even look at the rest of the ports. So I first tried commenting out the first two ports from the DSDT and that worked and made all the other ports show app in the IOService tree. Than I quickly tested all the USB ports and it turns out that the 2 problematic ports aren't even wired to anything. But instead of editing the DSDT I wanted a cleaner solution, because I don't want to re-edit my DSDT every time I update the BIOS or change some BIOS settings. So here is my small SSDT that disables the stock PTXH device and adds a new device XHCI, that has all the ports needed for my board (ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS). DefinitionBlock ("SSDT-PRIME-B350-PLUS.aml", "SSDT", 1, "APPLE", "tinySSDT", 0x00000006) { External (\_SB_.PCI0.GPP2, DeviceObj) External (\_SB_.PCI0.GPP2.PTXH, DeviceObj) Scope (\_SB_.PCI0.GPP2.PTXH) { Name (_STA, Zero) } Scope (\_SB_.PCI0.GPP2) { Device (XHCI) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Device (RHUB) { Name (_ADR, Zero) // USB3.1 back panel Device (PRT1) { Name (_ADR, 0x5) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, 0x03, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT2) { Name (_ADR, 0x6) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, 0x03, Zero, Zero }) } // USB3.0 front panel Device (PRT3) { Name (_ADR, 0x7) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, 0x03, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT4) { Name (_ADR, 0x8) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, 0x03, Zero, Zero }) } // USB2.0 Device (PRT5) { Name (_ADR, 0x9) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT6) { Name (_ADR, 0xa) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT7) { Name (_ADR, 0xb) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT8) { Name (_ADR, 0xc) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRT9) { Name (_ADR, 0xd) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } Device (PRTA) { Name (_ADR, 0xe) Name (_UPC, Package (0x04) { 0xFF, Zero, Zero, Zero }) } } } } } Please note that this is just an example and it most likely needs to be changed for your board.
  9. I would like to try to install Catalina on a 64 GB flash drive, in order to bypass the SATA issue. I so thay many managed to do that on external SSDs. Actualy, already tried it. The first step finished ok, just it took much longer. After first booting from the target flash drive from the installing flash drive, it blocked on something like ”installer will create a non-removeable partition”. Perhaps if I waiting long enough, I would have passed that phase, but there were already some 15 minutes since it blocked.
  10. Hi guys, My current build is working flawlessly under High Sierra except for one thing : my Roccat Kone EMP mouse won't work after waking up from sleep. I have to disconnect/reconnect it to get it to work again. Other mice (less sophisticated) do work upon wake. However , the Roccat mouse doesn't have any issue under Windows 10 or on an iMac running SL 10.6.3 . I wish I could try under Sierra ... Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help Here are my build details and a backup from the ioreg: Mobo: ASRock Z370 ExtremePro4 - CPU: i7-8700k - RAM: 16GB G.SKILL DDR4 - GPU: NVidia GTX1080 - SSD: Crucial M4 512GB Kexts used: AppleALC.kext CodecCommander.kext FakeSMC_ACPISensors.kext FakeSMC_CPUSensors.kext FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext FakeSMC_LPCSensors.kext FakeSMC.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext Lilu.kext USBInjectAll.kext XHCI-200-series-injector.kext i7-8700k OSX.ioreg.zip
  11. Hi everybody, First this is my first post on this forum so I hope Im creating a topic at the right place Im french, so sorry for my bad english So I recently made a Hackintosh Laptop (on a ROG GL553VD-DM078T ) This laptop is based on a i7 7700HQ and a GTX1050. I installed MacOS Sierra using the Clover bootloader and succesfully installed the kexts needed but one of them is causing trouble. I Broke my internal ethernet Port so I must use a USB-C ethernet dongle in order to acces the internet ( The Integrated Wifi chipset isn't compatible so that's my only way to connect.) Without the UsbInjectAll.kext everything works exept my laptop keyboard wich use USB (yes, the internal ASUS Aura keyboard use USB interface, not PS2 or IC2 ). But if I load the UsbInjectAll kext the keyboard works, but the USB-C ethernet dongle is no more recognized at all ( not even in the system report menu) The weird thing is that if I plug a USB stick in the USB-C port, it works, but the ethernet dongle won't. So now I have 2 options : -or I load the UsbInjectAll kext and I get my keyboard to work -or I disable the UsbInjectAll kext so i can get back my ethernet USB-C dongle to work, but no more keyboard.... Can someone explain why do this happen ? Is there a way to get both The Ethernet dongle and my internal keyboard to work at the same time ? If Needed, I can provide more information about the hardware Used etc. Have a good Day/night
  13. Yosemite USB + Boot problems

Hi guys! I have recently installed OSX Yosemite on my computer: Gigabyte Ga-z87M-d3h Nvidia Geforce Gt 630 Intel Core i5 4690k So, my problem is, at boot sometimes I get grey screens (like 1 of 3 times), and at shutdown, my computer doesnt stop. It shuts down my screen, but it seems like it hasnt shut completely down. Also, sometimes when I plug my USB sound card in (Focusrite scarlett 18i6), OSX freezes. I use chameleon bootloader. Could you help me what causes this problem?
  15. I'll attempt to keep this short and sweet. My specs: MOBO - ASRock 970 Extreme3 CPU - AMD Phenom II X4 965 B.E. RAM - 8GB GPU - Gigabyte GTX 550 TI HDD 1 - 1TB (2 partitions: Windows 8.1 OS/Data respectively. Formatted and partitioned as MBR/NTFS) [Primary boot drive] HDD 2 - 500GB (Formatted and partitioned as GPT/HFS+ ready for ML) [Will (hopefully) eventually be secondary boot drive] My issue: I've been trying to use Niresh's 10.8.5 for AMD distro/guide (by using TransMac to place the image onto the SD card,) however I'm getting a boot loop upon selecting the desired HDD in Chimera. Step 1 - SATA as AHCI - Check Step 2 - ACPI as S3 (suspend to ram) - Check Step 3 - Legacy USB support - Check Step 4 - UEFI boot off/disabled - Check Step 5 - Boot from USB - Success Step 6 - Select destination - Boot loop I've followed the provided guide to-the-T, yet it's all been futile. What are my exact steps and is this possible to do using a USB MicroSD card reader? I do have a separate 4GB flash drive, but ML doesn't fit. If possible, maybe I can install Lion and upgrade to Mountain Lion afterwards from within Lion? That is, of course, if I must use my 4GB flash drive and the USB SD card reader is the cause of all these problems. In other words, everyone's situation is unique, so what steps should I be following based on my available peripherals and specs above? I appreciate all of your help. If you need more information, please ask and I'll provide it the best I can. EDIT: Corrected partition/format type of HDD 2.
  16. I just finished getting 10.8.3 installed on my samsung ativ pro slate and have it close to fully working. Strangely enough, when i put the device to sleep and wake it back up the device ID's in system report window change for the usb ports. It also ejects and remounts most of them and the screen brightness gets turned all the way up. The last two things I need help with is the brightness and making these USB ports stable. The brightness slider is present in system preferences but it does nothing but turn the screen off at the very bottom of the slider. The usb unmounting and remounting wouldnt be such a big deal if it werent for the fact that it actually allows the wacom digitizer to fully be recognized and calibrated. I imagine this is because the wacom component is connected to an internal usb socket. I will attach some pictures and text of the before and after sleep device ids from the system report window. I tried going thru kexts and editing the plists to insert the new device id but after a day or two i just couldnt find the right place to put them. If its any hint as to what might be causing this. It only happens when I install the iousbfamily and iousbmassstorage kexts from ##### which i imagine are universal to recognize as many components as possible. When i have the stock 10.8.3 kexts it doesnt seem to act up but it also doesnt send power to the digitzer pen and wont even show up on the screen. Im completely stumped and will continue to plug away at it until i get it. But in the meantime any help would be greatly appreciated. I could be wrong but i imagine that the usb drives being ejected and remounted and the digitizer fully working after sleep could be related. If anyone has any clues or ideas about that or the brightness im all ears. Thanks a bunch in advance. Heres how the usb drives look before sleep BEFORE SLEEP (not working correctly.) 18. Hola!

  20. First, my build: Asus ROG Strix H370-I mobo i5 8400 cpu 32gb ddr 4 2133 1tb samsung evo 860 ssd Ive finally gotten to the point where the installation of HS loads to the language selection screen, but then i lose all usage of every USB port. Im at a loss of what to do from here. According to others, i have the proper files in the kexts/other folder as well as the drivers64UEFI folder. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do? Im getting kinda desperate as ive been at it for a week now and this is as far as ive gotten. -Sin
  21. I just installed Mavericks 10.9 on a mid-2013 macbook air. The external keyboard is no longer working from either usb port (external usb mouse does work, however, as does external firewire display). Reset SMC to no effect. Any suggestions appreciated.
  22. Hi there, I've had my current hardware running OS X -> macOS for many years now and for the most part it has worked exceptionally well. Unfortunately, in the last 8 months or so my USB devices are constantly experiencing errors and malfunctions. Specifically the mouse and keyboard suffer the most, but my USB audio devices suffer some errors as well. I know for a fact that it's not the ports or the devices that are failing, as I've used my Windows 10 install on the same hardware without any issue, and I've also used the mouse and keyboard on other PCs pretty extensively (also without issue). The actual issue is that the USB ports connected to the mouse and keyboard seem to constantly reset power and sometimes freeze up. This will interrupt inputs from the keyboard and also cause the on-board memory for my mouse to erase itself while also causing input errors. Looking at IO Reg in the USB section I see these two devices and sometimes others just spontaneously and sometimes constantly reset as if they're being unplugged and plugged back in. It's gotten so bad that I practically can't use my PC at all when in macOS High Sierra and I'm almost at the point of decided to buy new hardware completely. I've implemented RehabMan's USBInjectAll.kext solution for USB3 along with Fake_PCIID.kext and Fake_PCIID_XHCIMux.kext. I've also implemented patches for EHC1 to EH01, EHC2 to EH02. Here's a copy of my Clover config: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> Belkin F5D8053 v6 under 10.7.3

Hi, Finally I made my Belkin F5D8053 V6 work more or less under Mac OS X 10.7.3 with the official drivers RTL8192SU. But I still have one issue to sort out and i need help with it. It doesn't connect to any network. (My network is WPA2 protected) Someone stated earlier that it works 100% with the chipset driver RTL8188CU but for me not even the blue light came up with that.maybe it was a mistype from the person and he didn't mean v6 ( v1-5 have different chipset probably some of those can be RTL8188CU) With the official driver RTL8192SU from Ralink's Website it loads at boot, wireless utility starts, except it doesn't connect to any network (though it sees all wireless networks around). The service order under Settings/network is this eth02 device (it sees the usb device as a usb ethernet card or kind of) My OS is a clean install everything works Geforce GT 220 1024MB with full QE/CI ,iCloud/appstore/facetime, usb, audio in out no unnecessary kexts were installed. Anyone had any luck with this? Viktor
  24. Hello, Recently I finally complete the installation of ML on my laptop PB TK85. After struggling a bit with the graphics card, i managed to make it fully functional. The wireless ,ethernet and sound cards are ok either. However there is one issue with the USB that i cannot solve. The 3 USB ports sometimes work, other don't . I have to reboot the PC a few times to make it work. My laptop have am integrated web cam and card reader and I saw that when this peripherals are loaded, the USB ports not and vice-versa. Because I need more the USB ports I don't mind uninstall the kexts responsible for the camera and card reader, the problem is i don't know specifically which they are. So if anyone every experienced the same situation can point me in the right direction to solve the issue? Thanks in advance

    Wifi usb high sierra
