I cut my teeth on an old (well, it was new at the time) Atari 400/800 - and we had a tape deck for that. I remember writing and modifying games in BASIC and playing the HECK out of Star Raiders.

After that it was an Apple ][, and older IBM 8088, 386, 486 (the first computer I ever owned personally) and onwards from there.

I'm always resistant to OS changes... I did accept Win 98 when it came out, but was reluctant to go to XP and now I'm reluctant to go to Vista.

I'm pretty gung-ho about upgrading mac OSes though. (well, I wait about a month or two first to make sure there aren't any early gotchas)
