Disabling system daemons on macos monterey

Hi,

I would like to disable some system daemons like I always do after an update. Coming from 10.14.6, modifying the system dir is not easy anymore for the computer owner at all (what a nonsense...).

I already know how to disasble csrutil and athenticated-root like describe here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/words-of-caution-regarding-modification-of-system-files-using-csrutil-authenticated-root-disable.2276764/

Also I understand that I need to make a APFS snapshot of root, make it writable, then edit the files and then tell APFS to use that snapshot as default... Or similar. These last steps annoy me very much, is there a tool which does exactly those?

Also I would love to simply use launchcontrol, but it expects the config files to be under /System and not some random mounted directory. Can I tell launchcontrol somehow to use the temp. mounted path instead?

Thanks for helping me here.

@Funky frank

Hi

You can remove the plist files from these folders: Library/LaunchAgents and Library/LaunchDaemons and you can also check the Login Items under Users and Groups in system preferences and remove the apps from the list if there are any.

you can also give this app a try for https://soma-zone.com/LaunchControl/ it might be what you are looking for.
