lollo78
Hi guys, I created this EFI folder to install Catalina on my HP 250 G7 (i5 8265U with Intel 620 IGPU). The system boots, I can format my NvME with Utility Disk (APFS, GUID) and installation process starts (I can see the progress bar), but system reboots quickly. What I have wrong? lollo78
Thank you Allan, system freeze when I try to format in Utility Disk. Maybe Is due to the BIOS configuration? lollo78
Grazie Baio77, now it stuck on "BuildActDeviceEntry exit". In my previous test this was fixed with adding an SSDT-RTC.aml file inside ACPI folder. It is dued to the issue described here (see "RTC Missing" paragraph). For my laptop the Dortania precompiled SSDT-AWAC.aml didn't solve the issue. lollo78
SSDT-RTC.aml In your last EFI folder I deleted SSDT-AWAC.aml and added SSDT-RTC.aml. As before, now I can boot; but if I try to format the NvME disk with Utility disk system freezes. I just created a new USB Key to install Catalina, thinking that the freeze could be related to a bad USB Key, but it continue freezing. lollo78
OK guys, finally Catalina is installed! 😄 The issue was the Samsung NvME. 🤦♂️ In attached the EFI folder based on Baio77 with some few mods. I attached also the Ioreg dump. Could you help me to fix all the issues and optimize the hackintosh? In a quick test: Wifi and bluetooth doesn't work. Could you advice me witch Wifi pcie to buy? For Bluetooth (maybe integrated, I didn't see it on the PCB) I'll try with some usb adapter The touchpad works, but the left and right key doesn't work (this is the main issue at the moment). I'd try VoodooRMI to see if the trackpad works better, that uses SMBus which has a lot more bandwidth for touch data. I've seen buttons fixed with that too, though I think it's a problem with VoodooPS2 which I haven't figured out how to solve. Admittedly haven't looked too much at it. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/349753-opencore-075-hp-250-g7/#findComment-2772633 Share on other sites

lollo78
Thanks a lot Baio77, now PNLF works fine. I just upgraded the laptop with 16 GB RAM 2666Mhz, ad 1 TB SSD SATA. RAM seems works at 2400Mhz (not 2666Mhz) and to see the SATA SSD (formatted in HFS+) I have to add CtlnaAHCIPort.kext. If you'll release for me other EFI could you consider to add it? Thanks It's not clear for me if I need also NVMeFix.kext for the Crucial P5 M.2 because your EFI seems to work fine also without it. However, Wifi, bluetooth and HDMI still non working. Baio77
Ioreg latest EFI shows these problems: Webcam (I think there is a problem with USB port mapping), WI-FI + BT not working (if Realtek NOT compatible). Now I am preparing an EFI to solve some of these problems. HDMI audio and video I fix them last.
