On my rig i experience a BIOS reset from time to time specially when I use OC and Clover but that can be fixed by using RTCMemoryFixup.kext or so I'm gonna add that to the latest OC folder and if you managed to get the board working again give this a try. Do a BIOS reset (by using the jumpers on the mainboard) About upgrading to a better rig the SkyLake and KabyLake architecture are pretty decent and completely compatible with macOS so it's up to you. I'm looking at a number of z97 boards. Currently the UD3H. But also, I noticed the ASUS Z97 Sabertooth boards have the 'board covers' on them which makes for a sick design. Can you vouch for the ASUS Z97 boards for hackintoshability? Or would it be best to stick with a Gigabyte? Thanks! So I'm betting its definitely corrupt. Looking at mobos. Might pull the trigger soon. First I bought a Z97-UD5H on the second-hand market. The board arrived, only for me to discover that some pins in the socket were bent. The seller and I have since sorted that out. I then returned back to the second-hand market and purchased a Z97-UD5H-BK and its a sick board! One of the sickest in the whole chipset's offerings. She is in and humming away. MacOS booted up just like it did before! So, anyway, I am now back to tweaking in this build and getting my rig fully up and running so I can resume my productive workflow that i've very much missed! Yes it is a new board, but quite similar. Are you able to offer any of your experience and time, if so, i appreciate that and apologize for the gap in time. Currently this is the system's status: 1.) Graphics stills says Radeon HD7xxx. (not an issue, i know its not 'vanilla' but works fine.) 2.) Rear USB ports don't work (theres many on this board, all 3.0???, 4 of them work, 4 don't. 3.) Front USB doesn't work 4.) AUDIO DOESN'T WORK. What the hell. I've tried AlcIDs 1 through 7. They all DO NOT WORK. Nothing in 'Input' for Audio settings. All 3 kexts required are loaded. Didn't work on my last board with all the ID's I tried, doesn't work now. I've attached my config, as well as Darwin dump and IO Reg explorer files. If you could take a look. I would appreciate it.
