Hi everyone!

I'm currently trying to install MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 freshly downloaded with gibMacOS with an emulated MacOS (with VMWare).

I follow the intire tutorial of OpenCore and download the kexts from Kexts Repo

I'm with the last OpenCore version which is 0.7.2.

BUT! I can't go to the MacOS Installer. There are some White lines before the system reboot. It happens after selecting MacOS Installer in the OpenCore menu. I note those lines almost at the end:

My config is:

  • Laptop Model : MSI GL63 8RC-274xfr

  • MB model: MS-16P6

  • CPU: I5-8300H

  • GPU: Intel UHD 630 / Geforce GTX 1050ti (which I know is useless with MacOS)

  • 8 Gb RAM

  • Wifi/Bluetooth

To do my Config.plist, I follow the OpenCore tutorial as I understand (And as it's my first time with Hackintosh, I surely make errors. I surely install too many kexts, drivers and SSDT and maybe some of them are incompatibles or makes conflict, idk). I didn't use configurator but ProperTree

I add some bootarguments : "-v debug=0x100 keepsyms=1 alcid=1 -wegnoegpu"

I attached Config.plist and Opencore logfile and my EFI Folder can be downloaded there: https://we.tl/t-w05VSVcgJS

Edit: I saw that it's maybe the preboot volume isn't properly updated. I need to go in the recovery mode to repair it but I don't understand how to go in Recovery mode :'(

If you are trying to install macOS Catalina, you need to set Mosc->Security->SecureBootModel to something other than Default. I usually use j137 or Disabled. You also will eventually need to set MinDate and MinVersion under UEFI->APFS to either -1 (any ver/date) or a date/version compatible with Catalina. I'd look at the configuration.pdf for more details about these fields.

This post may have a few more details as well: https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/348500-how-to-securebootmodel-in-opencore-072/
