Thanks for information my friend, when you could, try install Windows normally with USB Installer, on SSD or something and after that use a external case to clone to your Nvme that was inside and below from many stuffs like GPU on your MB.

 

I loved when I not need take off my all disks only for MS "caprice" to install just only Windows. So Clonezilla is best free program that im used. Simple, fast, and Clone everything with Live USB.

Im using NTFS, I saw you using EXFAT, but there is an issue if I use NTFS? 

 

I thinking use on my Nvme 250 gb Samsung, I think is compatible too.

Hi , You must initialize the entire disk (Disk Utility) , not just the container with windows, the EFI partition will be created (empty)
you can format it in ms-dos or exfat ... the app will recreate/format the disk in NTFS

Just Google Windows Download Microsoft and choose parameters to download.

 

In video tutorial, just open the App and drag and Drop ISO from Microsoft page and configure to install Windows.

 

Left run and the App will finish installation by it self, open EFI etc... Just Keep disk or reboot to enter on Windows.

In fact its so amazing, because the traditional way to install Windows has many trouble with disks, especially Nvme, and take off, put again, disconnect GPU, etc...

 

This program is affordable and exclusive to make this task easy and softly

Gentlemen. Does anyone have the opportunity to test installing Windows legacy boot on an old Mac?

Conditions - the system is not higher than MacOS 12 Monterey and the disk should not be a system one (unless it is a hybrid one and Windows has not been installed before)

Just trying the software on MacPro5,1 running Monterey.  I am getting an Incorrect Password Enter Admin password error.

The log file is this:

security: SecKeychainSearchCopyNext: The specified item could not be found in the keychain.
Password:Sorry, try again.
Password:
sudo: no password was provided
sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt
STOP! Incorrect password!

I am an administrator and I am entering my password.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello. For some reason, the program cannot write the password into the keychain and, accordingly, retrieve it from there.

As an example, you can try writing down the password in the terminal:

security add-generic-password -a ${USER} -s passTEST -w 1234

See if the password has been registered:

security find-generic-password -a ${USER} -s passTEST -w

Remove it:

security delete-generic-password -a ${USER} -s passTEST

Try the legacy version of Windows Install 5.9.1, this version does not write the password to the keychain, but this version can only install Windows UEFI. - https://sourceforge.net/projects/windows-install/files/

Change in the program menu: Do not set the disk and partition number, but select the volume name. The "Update volume list" button. In the "Restore EFI bootloader" mode, the "OpenEFI" button appears, which allows you to open a hidden EFI partition to check or delete the Windows bootloader.

Here is the program I made.

But this program is very dangerous if you don't know how it works, so I set the warning in several languages. If anyone has the opportunity, check the message in English, because I wrote with a translator, and it would be nice to add other languages.
