LoBlanc
It's been quite a while since I "promoted" from Clover to OpenCore. Meanwhile I am delighted with it. Many thanks to the developers. Nevertheless there is one thing I could not get rid of. My Sound Preferences show ever since then (pretty sure) two "Internal Speakers (built-in)" entries. One of them never worked but it's always present. What can be done about it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time. 1Ale1
Did you add your audio device path to the DeviceProperties section in OC config.plist' I don't think this is the correct section though
LoBlanc
Well yes. layout-id OO1C, which means 28 dezimal. And works fine.
hardcorehenry
Wouldn’t be "easier" to add in config.plist NVRAM>7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82>boot-args>alcid=28(or/and try different layouts)? The value of boot-args takes precedence and overrides the other. Leave only one of the 2 values, I recommend you remove the sound from DeviceProperties and leave only alcid in boot-args, and tell me if this way one of the 2 Internal Speakers disappears. LoBlanc
Hi miliuco, I tried your way. Thanks. But no change. It might be no OpenCore related.
LoBlanc
H. I found this might be related to my (old) dsdt.aml, since deleting it and keeping only my ssdt's causes the error to disappear. Too bad that then I got no internal speakers entries at all. External and Bluetooth speakers work well though. Can someone give me a clue?
