macprodan
Hi, After about ten days of having my first Real Mac i am loving it, but two problems have come to light. firstly there is a few dead pixels and then there is the case not fitting perfectly on the left bottom side, where if i squeeze the case lightly it makes a grinding sound where it is contacting the drive. This was purchased in New York, i left the Box and carried as hand luggage, if i go to an apple store in london will they swap it for a good one for me. I have tried posting on the apple forums but cannot find the post topic button. !! hehe. Adrian Fogge
For the case, not a chance. For the dead pixels, you have a definite chance of getting it replaced. As far as squeezing the area near the hard drive making a grinding sound, all I have to say is no f***ing s*** dumb a**! Every other MacBook Pro i have come in contact with and its about 40 now as i sell macs at store in london does not have this. the case def has a fitting issue. Apple has a dead policy and yours probably does not have enough. This case issue though sounds like a manufacturing defect. Take it into an Apple Store and tell them you want it fixed under warranty. If you are lucky you wil get a new one with no problems. alloutmacstoday
i had a macbook and it was doing weird stuff and messed up, but they didn't replace it, they replaced just about everything but the computer, so i think they'll just replace the screen and case Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34486-will-i-get-my-macbook-pro-swapped/#findComment-245464 Share on other sites
Timyang
I had my iMac 20" replaced because of one stuck pixel so don't count that out yet. (first they only replaced LCD, then the repair didn't went well as they broke the iSight and scratched the stand, so they gave me a brand new replacement) If the dead pixels are near the centre of the screen and obvious then you have a good chance.
