notsnsone
Hello, I have been trying to install Big Sur via USB installer. I have seen many success stories so i tried as well. For a week I've been trying different config edits and they all end the same way. Installer USB fails to load. It keeps giving amfi errors (pictures attached). I have tried the amfi_get_out_of_my_way flag and still no luck. My EFI works well with an installed Big Sur and served me well since mojave. I am using opencore Thank you Spoiler Edited July 12, 2020 by notsnsone Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344483-big-sur-usb-installer-amfi/ Share on other sites
Gigamaxx
I had a similar issue until I enabled CSM in bios? Heres my working config.plist for a Haswell install it will need serials, MLB, etc.. The key is the NVRam section you may want to or need to change boot args but otherwise leave the rest alone. config.plist Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344483-big-sur-usb-installer-amfi/#findComment-2730541 Share on other sites
Stefan Milev
Interesting. How to get rid of this error in Clover? It would be nice if i didn't have to enable CSM, I will try it though.
