MSI GTX 560ti Hawk no AGPM

    Hello. My setup is as follows: Gigabyte B75M-D2V Intel i3-3220 8GB Ram MSI GTX 560ti Hawk. Running on Mac Os X 10.8.5, nothing custom, just sound from ##### 5.5.5. I installed latest Cuda and Nvidia drivers: Also, I'm running Clover EFI, lastest version, and i have these lines for SMBIOS and Graphics (tried to load the card's rom as you can see, but it doesn't want to load it) <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>MacPro5,1</string> <key>SmUUID</key> <string>00000000-0000-1000-8000-94de803cea56</string> <key>BoardSerialNumber</key> <string>C02032361R56R741Y</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <dict> <key>ATI</key> <false/> <key>Intel</key> <false/> <key>NVidia</key> <true/> </dict> <key>LoadVBios</key> <true/> </dict> I managed to get rid of the random freezes with freeze fix app, the only thing I'm having trouble with is that the system doesn't want to load AGPM kext no matter what.. here is the only modification i did to the kext: <key>MacPro5,1</key> <dict> <key>Vendor10deDevice0640</key> <dict> <key>Heuristic</key> <dict> <key>ID</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>IdleInterval</key> <integer>250</integer> <key>SensorOption</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>SensorSampleRate</key> <integer>4</integer> <key>TargetCount</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>Threshold_High</key> <array> <integer>93</integer> <integer>93</integer> <integer>93</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> <key>Threshold_Low</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>97</integer> <integer>97</integer> <integer>97</integer> </array> </dict> <key>LogControl</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>control-id</key> <integer>18</integer> </dict> <key>Vendor10deDevice1200</key> <dict> <key>Heuristic</key> <dict> <key>ID</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>IdleInterval</key> <integer>250</integer> <key>SensorOption</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>SensorSampleRate</key> <integer>4</integer> <key>TargetCount</key> <integer>5</integer> <key>Threshold_High</key> <array> <integer>55</integer> <integer>75</integer> <integer>90</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> <key>Threshold_Low</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>75</integer> <integer>90</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> </dict> <key>LogControl</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>control-id</key> <integer>18</integer> </dict> <key>default-control-id</key> <integer>18</integer> </dict> I have no fans at the moment, system won't load the kext no matter what smbios i use, any suggestions? thanks in advance ps: i don't know if this is relevant or not, but the nvidia aren't loaded anyway, using the switch in the menu bar, when I select Nvidia Web Drivers, after restert it goes back to OS X Default Driver. edit: upgraded to 10.9, AGPM gets loaded this time, but still fans won't work. Here are some helpful screenshots:
  2. Hello guys, So my specs are: Motherboard: Asus P5PL2-E Processor: Intel Pentium D 925 3.0Ghz Graphic Card: Nvidia 8600GT Memory: 2GB 800mhz I did the following: - Installed Hazard 10.6.6i with Legacy Kernel AHCISataFix (i think it's called) Realtek R1000, NVEnabler, boot with arch=i386 and i think it boots with GraphicsEnabled=Yes and builtinEthernet - Download the 10.6.8 v1.2 combo update from Apple's site, the Nawcom legacy kernel and the ###### for Snow Leo - Rushed in to install the combo update, then the Nawcom kernel (it crashes everytime the installer when i accept the terms so i run the installer twice) then install the Chimera from the ######. - All well, I restart with the Nawcom kernel ( tried all the steps 3 times so far) and this is what happens when the desktop should appear: Any suggestions what I should do? Thanks in advance! Update Day 2 still running Snow Leopard 10.6.6. I have no clue what could be causing the glitch described above. Yet I find this in my System Profiler: ROM Revision: 0x00 Thank you once again!

Mac OS X 10.4.11 Random Freeze

I see. Thanks for the reply. I will do some further researching there must be a way to make it work.
  5. Hey guys, my problem is this: I installed Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 using XxX_OS_x86_10.4.11_Install_Disc_rev2. Everything worked fine except that I am having random freezes. I can play around, browse the web, everything is working perfect but after a few minutes or hours, depending on how lucky I am it freezes and I have to reboot. My specs are the following: ECS P4M800PRO-2 - motherboard Intel Pentium D 925 3.0Ghz - processor 1Gb RAM memory Western Digital 260GB SATA drive NVidia GeForce FX6200 256mb Keyboard(logitech)+mouse(icon7) usb RTUSB WiFI adapter USB For installation I used the following drivers/kernel: Apple combo update 10.4.11 8.11 kernel ToH combo (most drivers and patches applied) EFI enabled CPUPowerManagement_Kext_Remover System_Profiler_Patch Via SATA/ATA Titan Nvidia Driver Generic AC97 Driver Speedstep.app Can you please help me fix this random freeze?I really like Tiger more then Leo.I remember in leo this problem being fixed with CPUS=1 or something like that. In Tiger what can I do? Thanks in advance.

How to change kernel at boot?

Do I needed to install something before that or 10.5.5 just won't do for my Pentium D?

How to change kernel at boot?

mach_kernel.backup doesn't work for me. Any other sugestions? Because with the vanilla kernel, it won't boot further then Darwin boot because the pc makes a short and loud sound and restarts. I don't wanna reinstall the whole OS again I"m using a Pentium D processor if it helps just updated from Kalyway 10.5.2 with speedstep kernel to 10.5.5 with combo pack..Did the script in terminal and replaced the line in /InstallAtStartup/Script/1 or whatever it was called. Then after i rebooted, it doesn't want to boot into the system. It gets to the darwin and when it was supposed to show the apple logo and the spinning thingy, it just makes a funny sound and restarts.. tried update -v -x and -v -f and it still doesn't work..I don't know what to do.
  8. Can someone please tell me how I can switch back to my old kernel 9.2 speedstep on boot promt? Because I can't start mac because of the vanilla kernel installed. (so I have 2 kernels: vanilla and speedstep and I wanna use speedstep instead of vanilla)
