Neonkoala Posted April 21, 2007 Share Posted April 21, 2007 If you mean the actual UI resolution rather than booting res then it is most likely due to lack of QE, CI support which in turn is due to lack of a proper graphics driver available/installed, the generic VGA driver only has 3 resolutions. roman3of23 Posted April 22, 2007 Share Posted April 22, 2007 Actually I have qe and ci working fine and the resolution is normal once I have logged in, I set my boot resolution to what I want and that works fine, it's just the screen when I first login that has a low 800x600 resolution. There must be a way to setting or something to change the login screen resolution. Neonkoala Posted April 23, 2007 Share Posted April 23, 2007 I assume you mean boot screen resolution then, type in "Graphics Mode"="1280x768x32" in the darwin bootloader and see if it works, if not try it with @60 on the end to refer to your refresh rate. It's the LOGIN screen that has 800x600 resolution. My question is where do you set the resolution for the login screen. That behavior is from Callisto. Strange behavior here, I have Callisto 0.6. Boot screen (grey apple) at 1024x768; Login screen at 1152x864 and Desktop screen at what i set it (1600x1200). How can I set Callisto to have the login screen at the same resolution of the bootscreen? I think is insane for the monitor to change the resolution 3 times at booting sequence.
