  1. [GUIDE] Leopard on an XPS 1330/1530

    Read the thread.
  2. DSDT debugging: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=456
  3. Knew I saw one somewhere: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1034290
  4. [GUIDE] Leopard on an XPS 1330/1530

FN+UP and FN+DOWN work fine for setting the brightness for me. Haven't done anything funny, just using standard ApplePS2Controller kexts.
  5. I noticed with AICPM.kext disabled the clock on each core was fixed at 1200MHz, half of its full speed which would probably account for your cooler temperatures.
  6. Oh if anyone found sleep wasn't working even with correct DSDTs etc then try enabling the "Start up automatically after a power failure" box in Energy Saver. Weirdly fixed it for me.
  7. "DSDT"="/Extra/randomdsdtname.aml" works for me.
  8. Do you mean the ExpressCard slot? If so I am using it no problem with a gigabit ethernet ExpressCard. Just shows up if its plugged in on boot, not sure it allows hot-swapping though.
  9. I assume you've done the quiz to post there right..? Otherwise it limits new users to the newbie forum. http://projectosx.com/forum/index.php?autocom=quiz
  10. I had started work on this guide: http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=465 however with that latest VoodooHDA and lack of time on my part it may be a while before I continue. If anyone's interested I have all the dumps required at the beginning apart from the voodoohda one, easy to obtain now. AppleHDA.zip
  11. I did this based on changes I found made to another Atom based system's DSDT, seemed to work fine for me (and them) but I can update it with a separate one for Darwin if you feel it would be a better idea for the majority.
  12. Detailed what I got working and how on my blog here: http://www.neonkoala.co.uk/component/conte...-x-snow-leopard I have a Revo 3610 with the Atom 330 so I've got some details on how to fix hyperthreading among other things in your DSDT. I plan to update it should I find more information about the Wireless and HDMI audio.
  13. Just to add my findings, I have been trying to boot off USB so far. Unless a DSDT fix is found USB booting is doomed to only work the 1 in 10 times due to the USB timings bug. Using the USBLegacyOff works however means Chameleon can't then load OS X from the USB drive as it needs the Legacy function to see it... Also if you want to use the legacy USB patch you'll need a patched version of Chameleon which can be found in this thread: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=197516
  14. Didn't realise that people were using the live CD.
  15. Actually you want "sudo -s" OR "su" as they effectively do the same thing but are two different commands. Both will give you root privileges for the rest of the session though.
