Wisam Posted November 27, 2006 Share Posted November 27, 2006 May be there is something that is using the CPU. Are the videos only slow or the whole system ? I have the same card 950GMA and the same Mac OS 10.4.8 but i don't have such problem. I looked for the system profile and your support Quartz and CI so there should be no issues. eberts Posted November 28, 2006 Share Posted November 28, 2006 Hi, I just checked my processes when DVD player is running. AppleIntel915 is not ok. Here it shows the AppleIntelGMA950 driver loaded. bibendum Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 I have to say - when I moved all the 915 kexts away, my system barely ran and came up as not CI & QE and only worked proper when I put back the 915 kexts. I installed from JaS "reseed" 10.4.8 disc, and I actually didn't install the GMA950 patch in the custom options right away - I used an nV PCIe card, and then installed the GMA950 patch after install. QE/CI both enabled, everything seems hunky dory & quite fast.... except for Quicktime. DVD player works fine. Quicktime will play Quicktime movies, but the screen is just white - no picture. AVI files crash QT completely. I'm not quite sure where to go from here, pretty new to all of this but learning quickly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
