luki1979
Just upgraded my 2014 MBP with 1Tb Intel 660p and AIRNVME-N01 adapter which is a Sintech clone and cost 5 bucks. MacBook is flying now. I had to install Mojave first on old SSD as these Nvme drives needs newest Boot Rom firmware present on a Mac, previous MacBook owner never upgraded from Yosemite and MacBook didn't even recognised drive at first boot. Very happy. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340290-upgrading-ssd-on-macbook-pro-2013-2014/ Share on other sites

woofy31
Quick question: is it possible to insert an SSD into an old MacBook Pro 17" Late 2011? Obviously the HDD is really, like really-really slow, even with a new hdd it's still slow Edited August 31, 2020 by woofy31 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/340290-upgrading-ssd-on-macbook-pro-2013-2014/#findComment-2735951 Share on other sites
