I did not have any luck with SwitchResX myself...

However, the latest Titan has the ability to specify a custom EDID string, which I used to specify the timings for native 1600x1024 on my SGI 1600SW.

Unfortunatly, the only EDID editor I could find was for Windows only... but it worked perfectly... though you do need to know the specific timings for your monitor and such to get this to work.

Install Macvidia, its OS X nvidia drivers, lets you choose from all your normal resolutions.

i think it's time to come out of your hole, dude.

MacVidia is "somewhat" obsolete now that the Titan drivers have been released.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THESE RESOLUTIONS?!

ive tried but i dont know what the hell to do with this EDID stuff.

Q: Low screen resolution, screen resolution not changable

A: Fix A: To change resolution edit com.apple.boot.plist

1. In OSX go to Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

2. Copy the file "com.apple.Boot.plist" to desktop

3. Open "com.apple.boot.plist" in Text Editor.

4. Add this in:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>"1280x1024x32@60"</string>

you can change the resolution to your liking. "x32" means 32 bit color, "@60" is the refresh rate.

5. save the file, save it as a .plist not .txt!

6. copy and replace the original.

# Fix B: A better fix would be install 3rd party drivers, but not all cards are supported. See the 3rd party drivers page.

# Fix C: If you have a ATi x1600/x1800 series card, use NeoPheus' installer for the Borisbadenovs method.Website Here

This worked for me.....I found it here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=11339

It doesn't work for me :(( I've rebooted the system, nothing changed.

Did you see if you have two com.apple.Boot.plist on you´re folder??, if so be advise do not delete without knowin each is the real chibanga. Or you might end with loadin problem´s. something like: bla bla can´t find com.apple.Boot.plist.

I think is always better to keep a backup somewhere so you can replace it. Also i do think is better to edit from property list editor. That way i do think you won´t end with the bla bla can´t find the damn thing on boot load.

Also i have the maniac way of always repair pemissions for everything i do or edit, can explain why, i´m just to good to be true, i guess  and like to ask the permission to everything
