RandyBoBandy_
Hey everyone, I've had my hackintosh for about two years now running sierra, this morning when I tried to boot i had a kernel panic, I have not had any issues with my build for 2 years and I didn't do any updates or anything out of the ordinary last night pretty much just youtube and emails etc. i've been planning on updating to mojave for a while now, but since everything was working fine I just left it alone. hopefully I can recover my data from the two drives I had in this computer I'm definitely not gonna wipe them. I can't understand why I get this kernel panic all of a sudden, everything was working great yesterday, could it be a hardware issue? I booted into ubuntu from a USB and everything seemed to be working fine. maybe the drive got corrupted somehow. heres a picture of the kernel panic, hopefully someone could offer some insight or expertise I would greatly appreciate it. Allan
Try boot with your Hackintosh USB drive installation, if you can enter at the system, try to refresh the caches and permissions. RandyBoBandy_
for some reason my bios has lost all it's saved profiles, I had numerous ones, some for hackintosh others for windows and linux, looks like it went back to factory default settings. I can't even book from a usb or any other hard drive that I installed macos on before Edited June 2, 2019 by RandyBoBandy_ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339018-woke-up-this-morning-to-a-non-functioning-hackintosh/#findComment-2675981 Share on other sites
kumartour
A kernel panic is a computer error from which the operating system (OS) cannot quickly or easily recover. The term applies primarily to Unix-based systems and to Mac OS X.
